Job summary

Abans Financial Services Ltd. in Mumbai seeks a Senior IT Support Engineer to lead core IT infrastructure, security, and daily operations. You will manage servers (on‑prem and cloud), networks, endpoints, and mentor junior engineers.

The role requires expertise in VMware, Active Directory, backups, disaster recovery, and cross‑platform support (Windows, macOS, Linux). You will design network topology, implement security controls, and document SOPs while collaborating with other teams.

Qualifications

• Certifications such as CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+, CCNA, MCSA, or similar.
• Experience in a startup or fast-paced tech-driven organization is a plus.
• Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell, Bash) for automation is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage IT infrastructure including servers (on-prem and cloud), networks and endpoints.
• Implement, monitor, and upgrade security protocols (firewalls, antivirus, IDS).
• Oversee system configuration, performance monitoring, and cross-platform troubleshooting.
• Manage and optimize VMware and other virtualization platforms.
• Design and implement network topology, routing, and switch configurations.
• Administer Active Directory and group policies; control user access.
• Ensure data backup, disaster recovery, and system integrity policies.
• Prepare documentation, SOPs, and IT asset inventory.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT needs and improvements.
• Mentor junior IT support engineers and handle escalations.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and recommend upgrades.

About the Role
