Job summary

Nokia is seeking a seasoned Java professional to lead end-to-end service and project delivery for IT solutions/products in India. You will guide a virtual team to optimize solutions, translate business requirements into technical specs, and collaborate across functions to achieve business goals.

The role emphasizes development with Java, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, JSP/Thymeleaf, and RESTful APIs, with a strong focus on scalable, well-documented software delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or post-graduation degree with 8–12 years in Java.
• Experience with Spring MVC and Spring Boot frameworks.
• Familiarity with JSP and Thymeleaf for front-end development.
• Basic knowledge of MySQL database operations.
• Experience with version control systems (SVN, Git).

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, develop, and maintain web applications using Java, Spring MVC, and Spring Boot.
• Implement dynamic user interfaces with JSP and Thymeleaf templates.
• Work with MySQL for data storage and retrieval, ensuring efficient queries and schema design.
• Utilize MyBatis or Hibernate for ORM and data persistence.
• Collaborate with team members using SVN and Git for source code management.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs to integrate with external systems and services.
• Write and execute unit tests using frameworks like JUnit or TestNG to ensure code quality.
• Apply basic testing principles including functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Contribute to technical documentation including code comments, API references, and user guides.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

• Understanding of persistence frameworks such as MyBatis or Hibernate.
• Ability to design and implement REST APIs.
