Job summary

Star Union Dai ichi Life Insurance (SUD Life) invites an IT PMO to drive planning, execution, and closure of IT projects. You will coordinate with clients, teams, and executives to ensure projects stay within scope, time, and budget while maintaining quality.

You will establish governance, develop plans, lead cross-functional teams, manage risks, and report progress. Strong leadership, communication, and SDLC knowledge are essential, with certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or CSM preferred.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies. Jira & Confluence skill levels must be 8/10
  • Ability to manage projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proven experience in IT project management, with a strong understanding of software development life cycles
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • PMP / PRINCE2 / CSM or equivalent certification is desirable
  • Qualification - BBA, MBA, BSc (Maths/ Physics), MCom, BCA, MCA

Responsibilities

  • Establish a project governance framework with a structured approach to govern projects
  • Provide valuable insight and guidance to project teams to ensure that projects run smoothly, within the budget
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential challenges
  • Assemble and lead cross-functional project teams, providing guidance, motivation, and support
  • Foster a collaborative team culture, encouraging open communication and knowledge sharing
  • Delegate tasks based on team members' strengths and project requirements
  • Oversee the day-to-day execution of project tasks, ensuring adherence to the project plan
  • Monitor project progress, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions as necessary
  • Manage project resources efficiently, optimizing productivity and addressing any resource constraints

  • Provide regular project status updates to clients, executives, and team members
  • Address stakeholder concerns and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle
  • Identify, assess, and prioritize project risks, developing mitigation and contingency plans

  • Anticipate and resolve issues that may arise during project execution
  • Implement and enforce quality assurance processes to ensure deliverables meet predefined standards
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of project outputs to guarantee functionality and reliability
  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial goals are met
  • Optimize resource allocation to achieve project objectives within budget constraints
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, risk registers, and status reports
  • Prepare and present regular reports on project progress, key metrics, and achievements
  • Facilitate project closure activities, including finalizing deliverables and obtaining client sign-off
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement

The IT PMO will play a crucial role in planning, executing, and closing projects within the Information Technology (IT) domain.
