Job summary

Mobileware Technologies is seeking a Project Manager to lead multiple projects within a matrix organization. You will align goals with management/PMO, negotiate task assignments, mentor team members, and drive initiation plans and detailed project schedules.

Candidates should have 2–4 years of relevant experience, a B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science or IT, and exposure to Agile Scrum, SAFe, PMP, ITIL, or Lean-IT. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects by aligning goals and priorities with management/PMO in a matrix organization.
• Negotiate task assignments with team members and functional managers.
• Provide performance inputs, support professional development, and mentor team members in project management practices.
• Co-create project initiation plans; prepare estimates, detailed project plans, and organize work into phases.
• Monitor and report project progress against scope, quality, cost, schedule, resources, and invoicing milestones.
• Identify, analyze, and mitigate project risks; track variances and adjust as required.
• Proactively manage scope changes, reassessing timelines, budgets, and requirements when needed.
• Collaborate with PM peers, architects, engineering teams, and stakeholders to manage expectations and delivery.
• Ensure adherence to PMO guidelines, Agile/SDLC practices, and build/release management processes.
• Maintain project documentation and update knowledge bases.
• Resolve day-to-day project, quality, risk, and client-related issues with proactive escalation.
• Provide leadership-level status reporting on milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues.
• Conduct project closure activities including evaluation, root cause analysis, acceptance, and handover documentation.
• Support incident management and ongoing operational activities as required.
• Identify and present process improvements, innovations, and workflow optimization opportunities.

Preferred candidate profile

• B. Tech/B. E. in Computer Science or IT, or equivalent in similar related field, from an institute of repute; & with typically 2 to 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Postgraduates in relevant field preferred. Combination of education and experience, may be considered in lieu.
• Understanding of Agile Scrum, Agile SAFe, PMP, ITIL, and/or Lean-IT, is preferred
• Demonstrable aptitude for project management skills including time and risk management; & Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrable results orientation with focus on product quality, time to market
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation, and influence skills
• Any certification with respect to project management: Agile certification/ SDLC certification, Sprint related courses.
