Job summary

Ascendion is seeking an IT Operations Support Specialist in Chennai to build, maintain, and optimize robust full‑stack applications using modern languages and frameworks. A strong SQL Server focus helps manage backend data efficiently in Windows Server and cloud environments.

The role requires hands-on programming in Java/C#/Python/JavaScript, familiarity with HTML/CSS and modern frameworks, and collaboration within Agile teams using JIRA for issue tracking and data messaging. Location: Chennai.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with hands-on coding experience.
• Proficiency in Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript and modern web frameworks.
• Experience with SQL and data handling.

Responsibilities

• Application & Web Development: Design, develop, and troubleshoot scalable software applications using Java, C#, Python, JavaScript and frontend tech (HTML/CSS, Angular/React/Vue.js).
• Database & Infrastructure Management: Manage and query SQL Server-based data on Windows Server and cloud platforms like GCP.
• Agile Collaboration & Problem-Solving: Use Agile methods and tools like JIRA to collaborate and debug complex software issues.

It specifically emphasizes strong relational database expertise, centered around Microsoft SQL Server, to manage backend data structures effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Application & Web Development: Design, develop, and troubleshoot scalable software applications using modern programming languages (Java/C#/Python/JavaScript) alongside web technologies (HTML, CSS, Angular/React/Vue.js).

Database & Infrastructure Management:

Manage and query database systems with a primary focus on Microsoft SQL Server, while maintaining applications on Windows Server environments and cloud platforms like GCP.

Agile Collaboration & Technical Problem-Solving:

Utilize Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA to collaborate, process JSON/MQTT data, and debug complex software issues.

Minimum Qualifications

• Technical Proficiency: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with hands‑on experience in core programming languages (Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript) and web frameworks (Angular, React, or Vue.js).

Database & Systems Expertise:

Demonstrated proficiency in database management, with specialized expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, as well as familiarity with Windows Server operating systems.
