Job summary

Ascendion, a leader in AI-powered software engineering, is seeking backend engineers to develop applications using Core Java and J2EE. You will work with Tomcat/WebLogic, implement microservices, and collaborate on UI layers with JSP/Servlets.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability of Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, AWS, Kafka, EKS/EC2, and Lucene/Elasticsearch.
• Proficiency in automation and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong SDLC understanding and agile practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop applications using Core Java and J2EE technologies.
• Utilize application servers like Tomcat/WebLogic and corresponding web servers.
• Implement Design Patterns and microservices.
• Work with Spring and ORM concepts, specifically Hibernate or iBatis.
• Write SQL queries for Oracle databases.

• Utilize build tools like ANT/MAVEN and source control tools like GIT.
• Analyze business and functional requirements to develop detailed design documents.
• Implement code quality tools and Unit Testing Framework.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability of Java, Spring Boot, Micro services, AWS, Kafka applications, EKS/EC2, Glue Jobs, and added advantage for Lucene/Elastic Search skillset
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
• Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
• Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
• Practical cloud native experience
