Job summary

L&T Finance is seeking an experienced IT Network Manager to design, implement, and manage enterprise network infrastructure across cloud, on‑prem, and hybrid environments in Mumbai. You will ensure smooth network operations, security, and regulatory compliance while leading initiatives across VPC/VNet, interconnectivity, and Direct Connect/ExpressRoute-like configurations.

The role requires 10+ years in OEM networking, strong scripting and automation skills, and expertise with monitoring tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience managing OEM network gear (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet).
• Familiarity with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, Terraform).
• Proficiency with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark, Dynatrace).
• Experience with regulatory and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and management of network infra across cloud, on‑premise and hybrid environments.
• Configure enterprise firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.) and manage LAN/WAN routing and switching.
• Implement network segmentation, VPNs, and secure interconnectivity between environments.
• Collaborate with Infosec and DevOps to ensure secure, automated, scalable network architecture.
• Maintain network docs, diagrams, IP schemas, and SOPs; participate in security audits.

Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Network Manager to lead the design, implementation, and management of network infrastructure across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments.This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of Networks and compliance with Security and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure and maintain enterprise-grade firewalls, including Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet FortiGate and GCP Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW).
• Strong understanding of LAN/WAN architecture, routing/switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), Configuration of Cisco or Similar CLI based devices and network troubleshooting
• Implement and manage network segmentation, access control policies, and VPNs to ensure secure communications between hybrid environments.
• Engage into troubleshooting issues and provide corrective and preventive action along with root cause analysis
• Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement proactive improvements.
• Maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams, IP schema, and standard operating procedures.
• Participate in network security audits, vulnerability assessments, and incident response.
• Design, deploy, and manage robust network infrastructure across cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) and on-premises data centers.
• Lead cloud network initiatives, including VPC/VNet design, interconnectivity, peering, and Direct Connect/ExpressRoute configurations.
• Collaborate with Infosec and DevOps teams to ensure secure, automated, and scalable network architecture.
• Evaluating the business requirement and translating it into technical requirement
• Managing stakeholders expectations by communication, updates and discussion
• Working with Suppliers to source the Network devices, services and maintain and evaluate supplier relationships for achieving the organizational objectives

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ Years of experience managing OEM (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet) TAC
• Familiarity with network automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible, Terraform).
• Proficiency with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark, Dynatrace etc.
