Job summary

UST in Mumbai is seeking a Network Administrator to join our Enterprise Platform Services team. You will manage and optimize our data-center and cloud networking, ensuring performance and security across on-premises and public cloud environments.

The role requires hands-on experience with Palo Alto, Cisco Catalyst/Nexus, Cisco Wireless, F5 BIG-IP, and Azure/AWS networking, plus familiarity with network automation and IaC using Ansible, Python, Terraform, or similar tools.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in enterprise network administration.
• Strong experience with Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco Catalyst/Nexus, Cisco Wireless/ISE/Prime Infrastructure, and F5 BIG-IP.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and network security.
• Experience with network automation or Infrastructure as Code using Ansible, Nornir, Python, Terraform, or Go.
• Experience in data center environments and with monitoring and incident processes.

Responsibilities

Role Description

Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled Network Administrator to join our Enterprise Platform Services team in Mumbai. The role involves managing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise network infrastructure across data centers, on-premises environments, and public cloud platforms.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco Catalyst/Nexus, Cisco Wireless, F5 BIG-IP, Azure/AWS networking, and enterprise network troubleshooting. Experience with network automation and Infrastructure as Code will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, data center, and cloud network infrastructure.
• Configure and manage network hardware, security appliances, and third-party cloud connectivity.
• Administer and troubleshoot Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco Catalyst/Nexus switches, Cisco wireless infrastructure, and F5 BIG-IP solutions.
• Monitor network performance, availability, capacity, and security across enterprise environments.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues using packet captures, logs, monitoring tools, and network diagnostics.
• Implement and maintain routing, switching, firewall, load-balancing, wireless, and cloud network services.
• Support Azure and AWS network connectivity and related infrastructure.
• Collaborate with network solution providers, vendors, and service providers on network design, implementation, and issue resolution.
• Develop and maintain network monitoring, ing, and incident-response runbooks.
• Participate in Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, and CAB processes.
• Perform network capacity planning and contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives.
• Support new projects by providing network solutions, architecture, implementation, and technical guidance.
• Coordinate the installation, configuration, upgrades, and lifecycle management of network hardware and software.
• Participate in network hardware refreshes, software upgrades, patching, and technology lifecycle activities.
• Support enterprise security infrastructure, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and related security technologies.
• Design, deploy, and maintain Wireless LAN (WLAN) environments.
• Evaluate new networking technologies, products, and services and provide recommendations aligned with enterprise standards.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date network architecture diagrams, configurations, documentation, and operational procedures.
• Work closely with cross-functional infrastructure, security, cloud, and application teams to resolve network-related issues.
• Participate in a 24×7 on-call rotation, including occasional off-hours and weekend support.
• Travel occasionally based on business requirements.
