Job summary

MKS Group is hiring an IT Infrastructure Manager to build and govern the corporate IT environment in Mumbai. The role focuses on hands-on setup, operations, and policy enforcement with a roadmap for improvements.

You will manage servers, AD, M365, networking, security controls and audits, while leading the IT team and coordinating with vendors. BE/BTech/MCA or equivalent is required with relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing Windows Server, Active Directory, M365, networking and security controls.

• IT Infrastructure Setup and Management: design, set up and manage servers, storage, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN and firewall at the Corporate Office.
• IT Policies and Governance: develop, document and maintain IT policies; build governance framework; enforce compliance and lead audits.
• IT Process Management: define and run IT processes (helpdesk, incident, change, asset, access); maintain documentation.
• Security: implement endpoint security, encryption and patch management; manage MDM; access control and CCTV/biometric integration.
• Service, Vendors and Team: lead the IT support team; manage vendors; monitor uptime and cost; drive optimization.
• Ideation and Improvement: evaluate new tools, automation and security improvements; pilot cost-saving initiatives.

Job description

Job Title: IT Infrastructure Manager

Location: Lower Parel, Mumbai (Corporate Office) | Experience: 7-10 years

Role Summary:

We are looking for a hands‑on IT leader to set up, run and govern the complete IT environment at our Corporate Office. About 80% of the role is building and operating systems and processes; about 20% is ideation, i.e. evaluating new tools, proposing improvements and shaping the IT roadmap. The role also owns the creation and enforcement of IT policies and governance for the entire company.

Role & Responsibilities:

1. IT Infrastructure Setup and Management

• Design, set up and manage servers, storage, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN and firewall at the Corporate Office
• Administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory, email and file servers
• Own backup, disaster recovery and business continuity (BCP/DR) planning and testing
• Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, migrations and new initiatives

2. IT Policies and Governance

• Develop, document and maintain IT policies: acceptable use, access control, data protection, password, BYOD/MDM, backup, incident response and vendor management
• Build the IT governance framework for the whole company: roles, approvals, controls and review cycles
• Enforce policy compliance, run periodic reviews and lead IT audits
• Report IT risks and compliance status to management

3. IT Process Management

• Define and run IT processes: helpdesk, incident, change, asset and access management, and user onboarding/offboarding
• Apply ITIL-aligned practices with clear SLAs
• Maintain IT documentation, SOPs and network diagrams

4. Security

• Implement endpoint security, antivirus, encryption and patch management
• Manage Mobile Device Management (MDM) for company devices
• Manage access control, privileged access and CCTV/biometric integration

5. Service, Vendors and Team

• Lead the IT support team and ensure SLA adherence
• Manage vendors (ISP, hardware, software, AMC partners), IT procurement and license management
• Monitor uptime, performance and cost; drive optimization

6. Ideation and Improvement

• Evaluate and recommend new tools, automation and security improvements
• Propose and pilot initiatives that improve efficiency, user experience and cost

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Strong hands‑on skills in Windows Server, Active Directory, M365, networking and firewalls
• Experience with backup solutions, MDM, endpoint security and CCTV/biometric integration
• Proven experience drafting IT policies and SOPs and implementing governance and controls
• Knowledge of ITIL and security best practices
• Team management, vendor negotiation and clear written communication
• Qualification: BE / BTech / MCA or equivalent. Certifications such as CCNA, MCSE/MCSA, ITIL or CISA/ISO 27001 are preferred
