Job summary

Tata Electronics Limited in India is seeking a Network Infrastructure SME to design, implement, and manage enterprise IT and OT networks across LAN, WAN, wireless, and data centers in a manufacturing setting.

You will oversee routing, switching, NGFW, NAC, and security controls, ensure high availability, support digital transformation, and collaborate with vendors for greenfield deployment and 24x7 production support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years of experience on IT Network stack implementation & management in manufacturing.
• Experience with enterprise IT/OT networks in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, WLAN, SDWAN, Data Center, and Industrial (OT) networks.
• Manage and troubleshoot advanced routing and switching technologies across multi-site environments.
• Administer and optimize NGFW solutions, security policies, VPNs, IPS/IDS, and network segmentation.
• Implement and manage NAC solutions for secure user, device, and endpoint access.
• Develop and maintain secure IT/OT network architectures with segregation, monitoring, and compliance controls.
• Lead network security hardening, vulnerability remediation, and cyber security audits.
• Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity with enterprise monitoring tools.
• Support Data Center network operations, disaster recovery, and 24x7 production support.

Job description

Tata Semiconductor Assembly & Test (TSAT) is a greenfield venture of the Tata Group with expertise in manufacturing in IC & SMT Packages.
Tata Electronics (a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd.) is building India’s first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Packaging facility . This facility will produce chips for applications such as power management IC, display drivers, microcontrollers (MCU) and high-performance computing logic, addressing the growing demand in markets such as automotive, computing and data storage, wireless communications and artificial intelligence.

Role Summary

The Network Infrastructure SME will be responsible for the design, implementation, administration, security, and optimization of enterprise IT and OT network infrastructure. The role requires strong expertise in routing, switching, next-generation firewalls, NAC solutions, and cybersecurity controls while ensuring high availability, performance, and security of mission-critical production environments. The incumbent will also support digital transformation initiatives, industrial network integration, and Data Center networking architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, WLAN, SDWAN, Data Center, and Industrial (OT) networks.
• Manage and troubleshoot advanced routing and switching technologies across multi-site environments.
• Administer and optimize Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) solutions, security policies, VPNs, IPS/IDS, and network segmentation.
• Implement and manage Network Access Control (NAC) solutions to ensure secure user, device, and endpoint access.
• Develop and maintain secure IT/OT network architectures with appropriate segregation, monitoring, and compliance controls.
• Lead network security hardening initiatives, vulnerability remediation, and support cyber security audits and assessments.
• Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity utilizing enterprise monitoring and management platforms.
• Support Data Center network operations, disaster recovery environments, and business continuity initiatives with 24x7 production support requirements.
• Good to have expertise on ARISTA Data Center Networking fabric.

Additional Responsibilities

• Understanding and execution skillset of Server & Storage components.
• Co-ordination with vendors to make sure the service continuity in a greenfield setup.
• Act as escalation matrix lead for Network Ops (Predictive Operation Management)
• Network Security Policies and Compliance Frameworks management for the plant.

Soft Skills

• Working as PMO for all network related activities\projects\CAB meeting in the plant
• Strong stakeholder management (Cross Functional Meetings\Presentations)
• Excellent troubleshooting and RCA skills
• Experience managing critical production incidents
• Ability to work in 24x7 support and on-call rotation
• Strong documentation and DR runbook creation skills
• Leadership in crisis and disaster scenarios
• Coordination with OEM/Vendors, Service level reviews & escalations.

Qualification & Work Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or an equivalent qualification
• 8+ years of experience on IT Network stack implementation & management.

(Not just handling Operations.)

• Experience managing large IT Infra (Datacentre
  OC) at manufacturing domain is an advantage
• Certifications will give added advantage. (Palo Alto PCNSE\ Arista ACE\ CCNA\ CCNP\ CCIE\ ITIL\PMP or relevant Network management certification)
