Job summary

Jobtailor in Bengaluru seeks a seasoned IT Financial Planning and Analysis leader to own budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans across IT portfolios. You will drive monthly reporting, variance analysis, and executive dashboards to inform strategic decisions.

You will partner with IT and business stakeholders on investment cases, ROI analyses, and funding alternatives, ensuring governance and optimization across capital and operating spend.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, or related roles supporting complex technology or business organizations.
• Expertise in annual planning, forecasting, financial modeling, variance analysis, and management reporting.
• Experience supporting technology organizations, IT portfolios, or enterprise project investments.
• Understanding of capital versus operating expense accounting, budgeting controls, and financial governance.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, Workday), and data analysis techniques.
• Ability to analyze complex financial information, identify trends and risks, and translate findings into business insights.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management across Finance, IT, Procurement, and business leadership.
• Experience developing executive dashboards and decision-support materials; driving process optimization and reporting enhancements.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or Information Systems


• 7+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, portfolio financial management, or related finance roles supporting complex technology or business organizations


• Expertise in annual planning, forecasting, financial modeling, variance analysis, management reporting, and investment evaluation


• Experience supporting technology organizations, IT portfolios, digital transformation programs, or enterprise project investments


• Understanding of capital versus operating expense accounting, project financial management, budgeting controls, and financial governance


• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial planning tools, ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or Workday, and data analysis techniques


• Ability to analyze complex financial information, identify trends and risks, and translate findings into business insights and recommendations


• Collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills across Finance, IT, Procurement, and business leadership


• Experience developing executive-level dashboards, financial presentations, and decision-support materials


• Experience driving process optimization, automation, and reporting enhancements
