Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Cost & Bid Analytics Specialist to own and evolve reference cost baselines, templates, and deployment packages for multiple engineering programs. You will coordinate with Global Sourcing, cost controllers, and proposal managers to keep baselines current and reusable across regions.

You will drive standardized tools, model deployment, and risk assessment, supporting tender reviews and lifecycle cost control in a global, multi-project environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with cost/financial focus.
• Experience in cost analysis, bid management, and proposal management in engineering projects.
• Experience deploying standardized cost tools in multi-project environments.
• Strong understanding of project cost control processes and methodologies.
• Ability to drive standardized tools across cross-functional teams.

Job description

• Own and develop reference solution cost baselines, templates and deployment packages


• Drive the use of cost baselines and ensure they are available to users and stakeholders


• Define, maintain, and govern standard cost baselines for end-to-end reference solutions


• Coordinate with Global Sourcing to keep costs up to date, identify gaps, and obtain costings


• Coordinate with OTR cost controllers to understand actual project costs and refine baselines


• Work with Proposal Managers to ensure ITOC models are used correctly and efficiently


• Participate in tender reviews to support, review, and ensure data consistency


• Support bid and project teams during tender and execution phases


• Coordinate Solution Line and Regional stakeholders across sourcing, finance, and cost control


• Provide cost input for analysis and decision-making for existing and new reference solutions


• Identify, assess, and mitigate cost-related risks


• Continuously evolve cost baselines using market needs, lessons learned, tendering and execution feedback, and business priorities


• Contribute to win rate, execution consistency, and margin performance improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or related field


• Demonstrated experience in cost analysis, bid management, proposal management or Finance in an engineering and/or project environment


• Proven experience developing, governing, or deploying standardized cost tools and references or reusable frameworks in a multi-project or multi-region environment


• Strong understanding of project cost control processes and industry-standard methodologies


• Experience with cost analysis tools and the ability to develop specific tools as needed to support the work


• Demonstrated ability to drive use of standardized tools and references and process improvement across cross-functional teams


• Stakeholder management and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering, tendering, regional, commercial teams


• Proven ability to identify risks, resolve cross-functional issues, and drive alignment in complex business environments


• Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills


• Experience in power systems, grid solutions, power conversion technologies, or other industrial infrastructure businesses


• Experience working in global organizations with regional execution models


• Familiarity with bid management, project execution, and lifecycle support processes


• Experience defining cost models, lead time assumptions, standard terms, or deployment methodologies for standard solutions


• Experience driving continuous improvement, lessons learned, and return-on-experience integration into standard offerings
