Qualifications

Responsibilities

Manage IT infrastructure, desktops, servers, networking and VPNs.
Provide first/second line helpdesk and ticket resolution.
Administer user accounts, email, and access controls.
Maintain network devices, routers, switches, and Wi‑Fi.
Install and update OS and business apps; ensure licensing compliance.
Implement security measures and monitor threats.
Perform data backups, DR procedures, and restorations.
Maintain IT asset inventory and renewals.
Coordinate with vendors and service providers.
Document configurations, SOPs, and audit readiness.
Support business continuity and IT projects.
Assist departments with new technologies and automation.

Job description

Role & responsibilities -

1. IT Infrastructure Management

- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, biometric devices, CCTV systems, and other IT peripherals. Ensure smooth functioning of servers, workstations, networking devices, and communication systems. Monitor system performance and proactively resolve technical issues. Maintain office Wi‑Fi, LAN, WAN, internet connectivity, and VPN access.

2. Technical Support & Helpdesk

- Provide first-level and second-level technical support to employees. Resolve hardware, software, email, printer, network, and application-related issues. Record, track, and close IT support tickets within defined timelines. Provide remote and on-site technical assistance whenever required. Ensure minimal downtime for business users.

3. User & Access Management

- Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts. Manage email IDs, passwords, user permissions, and access rights. Configure Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, and other business applications. Ensure secure user authentication and access management.

4. Network Administration

- Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Monitor network availability, bandwidth utilization, and internet performance. Troubleshoot network outages and connectivity issues. Coordinate with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) for network-related concerns.

5. Software & Application Management

- Install, configure, and update operating systems and business applications. Ensure software licensing compliance. Support ERP, HRMS, CRM, payroll, and other enterprise applications. Test and deploy software updates and patches.

6. Information Security

- Implement and monitor antivirus, firewall, endpoint protection, and cybersecurity solutions. Perform regular system updates and security patch management. Monitor systems for security threats and vulnerabilities. Ensure compliance with company IT security policies and data protection standards. Educate employees on cybersecurity awareness and best practices.

7. Data Backup & Disaster

- Recovery Perform scheduled data backups for servers and critical business information. Verify backup integrity and ensure successful restoration when required. Maintain disaster recovery procedures to minimize business disruption. Secure confidential company data through appropriate backup and recovery practices.

8. IT Asset Management

- Maintain an inventory of all IT assets, including laptops, desktops, printers, networking equipment, and software licenses. Track asset allocation, movement, maintenance, and replacement schedules. Maintain warranty, AMC, and license renewal records. Coordinate procurement of IT equipment and software.

9. Vendor Management

- Coordinate with external IT vendors, service providers, and hardware suppliers. Manage AMC contracts and service requests. Evaluate vendor performance and ensure timely issue resolution. Support procurement of IT hardware and software.

10. Documentation & Compliance

- Maintain documentation related to IT infrastructure, system configurations, licenses, and network architecture. Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for IT processes. Ensure compliance with internal IT policies and audit requirements. Support internal and external IT audits.

11. Business Continuity & Support

- Ensure high availability of IT systems and services. Support business continuity planning and disaster recovery initiatives. Minimize system downtime through preventive maintenance. Coordinate IT support during business‑critical operations.

12. Project & Technology Support

- Participate in IT infrastructure enhancement projects. Support implementation of new technologies and digital initiatives. Assist departments in adopting new software and automation tools. Recommend improvements to enhance IT efficiency and security.
