Job summary

Medtronic is seeking an experienced Frontend Experience Engineer for its MEIC IT organization. You will design and build modern web applications for AI-driven operations platforms and incident workflows, collaborating with engineering, operations, security, and product teams to deliver scalable, user-friendly interfaces.

You will create real-time, secure UI experiences, implement authentication patterns, and contribute to testing, CI/CD, and release readiness while shaping enterprise dashboards

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline and 4+ years of experience in frontend or user interface software engineering for enterprise applications.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience developing production-grade single-page applications using React.
• Experience with JavaScript, modern CSS, responsive web design, and browser-based application development.
• Experience building secure web applications with authentication, authorization, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience using Git-based development workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and frontend unit or integration testing frameworks.

Responsibilities

A Day in the Life

The Medtronic Engineering & Innovation Center (MEIC) IT organization delivers technology solutions that enable enterprise platforms, digital capabilities, and operational excellence across the business. This role sits within the AIOps portfolio, focused on building user-facing experiences that help teams interact with intelligent operations platforms, incident workflows, decision-support tools, and platform administration capabilities. As an AIOps Frontend Experience Engineer, you will design and develop modern web applications that connect users to AI-driven operational platforms. You will partner with engineering, operations, security, and product teams to deliver intuitive, reliable, and scalable user experiences for enterprise applications, conversational interfaces, dashboards, and workflow-driven solutions.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Design, develop, and enhance frontend applications supporting AIOps, incident management, and platform administration use cases.
• Build modular and reusable user interface components using React and component-driven architecture principles.
• Implement responsive, role-based user experiences across multiple devices and user personas.
• Develop real-time and streaming user interactions for AI-assisted experiences, operational visibility, and platform monitoring.
• Integrate frontend applications with secure APIs, authentication services, and enterprise access-management solutions.
• Improve application performance, resilience, accessibility, and maintainability through scalable engineering practices.
• Contribute to automated testing, code reviews, continuous integration and deployment activities, and release readiness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions that provide measurable operational value.

Required knowledge and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline and 4+ years of experience in frontend or user interface software engineering for enterprise applications.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience developing production‑grade single‑page applications using React.
• Experience with JavaScript, modern CSS, responsive web design, and browser‑based application development.
• Experience building secure web applications with authentication, authorization, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience using Git‑based development workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and frontend unit or integration testing frameworks.
• Backend service integration experience using Python or Golang Nice to Haves:
• Experience designing and developing user experiences for AI‑assisted, conversational, or chat‑driven applications.
• Experience supporting AIOps, IT operations, incident response, site reliability, or related operational technology domains.
• Experience collaborating across geographically distributed global engineering teams
• Exposure to enterprise single sign‑on (SSO) solutions such as Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) or similar identity platforms.
• Experience building operational dashboards, monitoring solutions, or data‑intensive web applications.
