  • Strong background in medical device software or other regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, life sciences, automotive, aerospace, industrial automation), with a solid understanding of compliance, quality, and product development processes.
  • Proven experience leading software engineering teams developing desktop applications, including Windows‑based solutions using technologies such as WPF, WinForms, WinUI, C++, .NET, or similar desktop application frameworks.
  • Experience developing software for connected medical devices, patient monitoring systems, device interoperability solutions, or real‑time data acquisition platforms.
  • Ability to guide technical decisions across desktop, cloud, edge, and connected medical device architectures while ensuring scalability, cybersecurity, quality, and compliance requirements are met.
  • Demonstrated success delivering complex software products in a fast‑paced Agile environment, with clear accountability for scope, schedule, quality, and execution.
  • Experience working closely with Systems Engineering teams on requirements definition, system architecture, traceability, risk management, and end‑to‑end verification activities.
  • Working knowledge of industry standards, quality systems, and regulatory processes such as FDA, ISO 13485, IEC 62304, ISO 14971, or equivalent regulated product development frameworks.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles, secure software development practices, vulnerability management, and product security requirements for connected medical devices and healthcare systems.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of building, coaching, and developing high‑performing engineering teams.
  • Experience in talent management, including hiring, performance management, succession planning, employee development, and organizational capability building.
  • Proven ability to drive engineering excellence through Agile practices, DevOps adoption, automation, quality metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience partnering effectively with Product Management, Program Management, Quality, Regulatory, Clinical/Domain experts, and senior leadership teams.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to align global and cross‑functional teams toward common objectives.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities, risks, dependencies, and resource allocations while maintaining predictable delivery commitments.
  • Data‑driven approach to execution, utilizing engineering metrics, quality indicators, and delivery KPIs to guide decision‑making and improve outcomes.
  • Accountable for engineering execution, product quality, team health, talent development, and predictable delivery outcomes across assigned programs and product areas.
Required Knowledge and Experience
  • B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech. in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 17+ years of software engineering experience, including leadership responsibility for teams delivering desktop, connected, medical device, or healthcare software products.
  • Strong knowledge of desktop application architecture, design patterns, and technologies such as WPF, WinForms, WinUI, C#, .NET, C++, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience delivering software that interfaces with medical devices, monitoring systems, or other connected hardware/software platforms.
