Job summary

Liebherr CMCtec India Private Limited in Pune, India seeks an experienced Azure Cloud Architect to lead cloud modernization initiatives, design Azure-based architectures, and migrate on-premises workloads to Azure. You will build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, implement IaC, and enforce cloud governance and security.

You will collaborate with development teams, guide cloud-native practices, and provide 2nd/3rd line support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related disciplines.
• 3-6 years of professional experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Azure services: App Services, Functions, Storage Accounts, Key Vault, Monitor/Application Insights.
• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD using Azure DevOps, GitHub, deployment automation, and release management.
• Experience deploying .NET-based applications in Azure; IaC with Terraform or Bicep; strong Azure Security & Identity knowledge (Entra ID, Managed Identities, RBAC).

Responsibilities

• Act as SME, consultant, and advisor for Azure cloud technologies and application modernization initiatives.
• Support dev teams in cloud-native development and deployment practices.
• Design, implement, and optimize Azure-based application architectures.
• Migrate on-premises apps to Microsoft Azure.
• Establish CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub.
• Implement IaC with Terraform or Bicep/ARM templates.
• Define cloud governance, security, monitoring, and operations best practices.
• Develop automation to improve deployment and operational efficiency.

• Coach and mentor development teams; maintain governance docs.

• Act as subject matter expert,consultant, and advisor for Azure cloud technologies and application modernization initiatives
• Support the application development team in establishing cloud-native development and deployment practices
• Design, implement, and optimize Azure-based application architectures
• Drive the migration of existing applications and services from on-premises environments to Microsoft Azure
• Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using technologies such as Bicep, Terraform or ARM Templates
• Define cloud governance,security,monitoring, and operational best practices
• Develop and implement automation concepts to improve deployment and operational efficiency
• Support application teams in troubleshooting, performance optimization, and cloud operations
• Enable knowledge transfer through coaching, workshops, and hands‑on mentoring of development teams
• Maintain technical architecture, operational, and governance documentation
• Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for Azure-based applications and services

Qualification

Must Have Skills

• 3- 6 years of professional experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud technologies
• Experience designing and implementing modern cloud-native application architectures on Microsoft Azure and modernizing existing on- premises applications.
• Hands‑on experience with the following Azure services:
  • Azure App Services
  • Azure Functions
  • Azure Storage Accounts
  • Azure Key Vault
  • Azure Monitor Application Insights
• Practical experience with DevOps and CI/CD, including Azure DevOps, GitHub, deployment automation, and release management
• Experience supporting and deploying .NET-based applications in Azure environments.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or Bicep
• Strong knowledge of Azure Security and Identity, including:
  • Microsoft Entra ID
  • Managed Identities
  • Authentication and Authorization concepts
  • Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
• Solid understanding of databases and cloud data services, including:
  • SQL Server
  • Azure SQL Database
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles, scalability, security, governance, and operational excellence
• Experience with modern software development and collaboration tools, such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jira, Confluence, Visual Studio, or Visual Studio Code.
• Very good written and spoken English skills
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex cloud concepts to software developers and business stakeholders

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with additional Azure services such as:

• Experience with modern analytics and data platforms, including:
