Job summary

Shashwath Solution in Pune is seeking an experienced IT Administrator to support Windows and Mac environments, deskside and remote users, and maintain core infrastructure.

You will manage servers, networks, security, backups, and asset inventories while updating documentation and policies. The role requires strong problem-solving and communication skills and a Bachelor’s in IT/CS, with 5+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an IT administrator in IT sector.
• Experience with operating systems, security, backups, virtualization, AD, and network basics.
• Basic knowledge of network security and data protection practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for PC/Mac, video conference systems, printers, phones, and general IT hardware/software.
• Maintain IT infrastructure including OS, security tools, servers, email, laptops/desktops, cloud and hardware.
• Handle help desk tickets with troubleshooting for desktops/servers and outages.
• Maintain asset inventory and liaise with suppliers for orders.
• Set up user accounts and workstations.
• Manage network servers and technology tools.
• Triage issues and outages and ensure security, backups and firewalls.
• Upgrade systems with new releases and models.
• Build internal wiki with documentation and IT policies.
• Server administration: users, permissions, GPOs, print services; monitor events.
• Monitor data-center health and respond to hardware issues; assist in server build/test.
• Maintain infrastructure: laptops, desktops, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones; support LAN/WAN.

Job description

1. Provide comprehensive user support services for PC and Mac platforms, video conference equipment, printers/copiers, phone systems, and general IT hardware/software.
2. Provide technical support to employees , partners & customers.
3. Maintain essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, cloud & hardware.
4. Perform technical evaluations, analysis, and troubleshooting for supported desktop/servers in response to help desk tickets, including failures and full system outages.
5. Maintain asset inventory and collaborate with external suppliers for potential orders/equipment.
6. Set up accounts and workstations.
7. Manage network servers and technology tools.
8. Troubleshoot issues and outages.
9. Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls.
10. Upgrade systems with new releases and models.
11. Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies.
12. Perform server administration tasks (ex: user/group, security permissions, group policies, print services); research event-log warnings and errors; and monitor resources to ensure that systems architecture components work together seamlessly.
13. Monitor data-center health using existing management tools, and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers when needed.
14. Maintain internal infrastructure requirements, including laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates; support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments.

1. Understanding of financial markets & financial technologies.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
2. Min 5+ years of working experience as a IT administrator in the information technology sector
3. Experience with or knowledge of programming languages and operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, systems performance-monitoring tools, active directories, virtualization, HTTP traffic, content delivery, and caching
4. Basic knowledge of network security and data protection practices.
