Job summary

Telebortix Innovations Pvt. Ltd. in New Delhi is seeking an IT professional to own the entire IT backbone, including endpoints, network, identity and security, for a defence-tech company handling sensitive programme data.

You will manage laptops/workstations, enterprise Wi-Fi, MFA, patching, and a fleet of devices while ensuring audit-readiness for defence-customer and investor due-diligence.

Qualifications

• B.Tech/BCA/Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years in IT administration or system administration roles managing 20+ endpoints.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise Wi-Fi (802.1X/RADIUS) setup and administration, VLANs, and firewall configuration.
• Working knowledge of Windows and Linux (Ubuntu) administration; basic scripting (Bash/PowerShell) for automation.
• Experience administering Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 and at least one MDM/fleet management tool.
• Strong security mindset - understands least-privilege access, MFA, encryption at rest, and patch discipline.

Responsibilities

Location: New Delhi (on-site) | Company: Defence-tech startup building autonomous UAV systems for the Indian Armed Forces - GNSS-denied navigation, edge autopilots, swarm coordination, tactical and heavy-lift UAVs.

Note: All roles involve work on defence programmes. Indian citizenship is required. Roles involve periodic travel to field trial locations (Army/Navy establishments across India).

About the Role

Own the entire IT backbone of Telebortix - endpoints, network, identity, and security. As a defence-tech company handling sensitive programme data, our IT hygiene must be audit-ready at all times. You'll manage the fleet of laptops and workstations, run our enterprise Wi-Fi, enforce security policy, and be the go-to person for everything IT.

Responsibilities

Fleet & endpoint management: Commission, image, and deploy new laptops, workstations, and servers; maintain a standardized provisioning process (OS builds, software stacks, disk encryption). Manage the device lifecycle end-to-end - asset tagging, warranty tracking, repairs, secure decommissioning and data wiping.

MDM administration: Deploy and administer a fleet/MDM solution (e.g., Microsoft Intune, JumpCloud, Hexnode) for policy enforcement, remote lock/wipe, patch management, and software rollouts across Windows, Ubuntu, and macOS endpoints.

Network administration: Maintain office network infrastructure - routers, switches, access points, firewall. Run and administer Wi-Fi with WPA2/WPA3-Enterprise (802.1X) authentication via RADIUS, including certificate/credential management, VLAN segmentation (guest / corporate / lab networks), and onboarding/offboarding of devices.

Identity & access management: Administer Google Workspace / Microsoft 365 - user provisioning and deprovisioning, group policies, SSO. Enforce password policy and strength requirements, mandatory MFA, and periodic access reviews; manage a company password manager (e.g., Bitwarden/1Password) rollout.

Security & compliance: Maintain endpoint protection/antivirus, OS and firmware patching cadence, USB/peripheral control policies, and backup routines. Maintain IT asset registers and access logs in a state ready for defence-customer and investor due-diligence audits; support ISO 27001 / CERT-In-aligned practices as we scale.

Employee lifecycle IT: Handle joiner/mover/leaver workflows - account creation, hardware issue, access grants on day one; full access revocation and asset recovery on exit.

General IT support: Day-to-day helpdesk for the team (hardware, software, printers, conferencing/meeting-room systems, VPN), vendor and ISP coordination, license management, and IT procurement recommendations.

Required Qualifications

B.Tech/BCA/Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.

2+ years in IT administration or system administration roles managing 20+ endpoints.

Hands-on experience with enterprise Wi-Fi (802.1X/RADIUS) setup and administration, VLANs, and firewall configuration.

Working knowledge of Windows and Linux (Ubuntu) administration; comfort with basic scripting (Bash/PowerShell) for automation.

Experience administering Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 and at least one MDM/fleet management tool.

Strong security mindset - understands least-privilege access, MFA, encryption at rest, and patch discipline.

Preferred

Certifications: CompTIA Network+/Security+, CCNA, Microsoft/Google admin certifications.

Experience in a defence, fintech, or other compliance-heavy environment (ISO 27001, SOC 2, CERT-In guidelines).

Familiarity with NAS/backup systems, CCTV/access-control systems, and server-room basics.

Exposure to managing developer/engineering environments (GPU workstations, self-hosted Git, licence servers for CAD/simulation tools).
