Telebortix Innovations Pvt. Ltd. — Open Positions
Location: New Delhi (on-site) | Company: Defence-tech startup building autonomous UAV systems for the Indian Armed Forces — GNSS-denied navigation, edge autopilots, swarm coordination, tactical and heavy-lift UAVs.
Note: All roles involve work on defence programmes. Indian citizenship is required. Roles involve periodic travel to field trial locations (Army/Navy establishments across India).
Team: GNC (Guidance, Navigation & Control) | Experience: 3–7 years | Type: Full-time, New Delhi
About the Role
- You will own flight control, path planning, and simulation across our UAV fleet — fixed-wing, multirotor, VTOL hybrids, and swarming platforms. You'll take controllers from simulation to flight test, working closely with perception and embedded teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and tune flight controllers (PID, LQR, MPC, geometric/nonlinear control) for multirotor, fixed-wing, and hybrid VTOL platforms.
- Develop UAV path planning and trajectory generation algorithms (minimum-snap, RRT*/A* variants, receding-horizon planning) including obstacle avoidance in cluttered and GNSS-denied environments.
- Build and maintain high-fidelity simulation environments (Gazebo/Isaac Sim/custom) for SIL/HIL validation, including aerodynamic and sensor models.
- Apply learning-based methods where appropriate: reinforcement learning for control policies, learned dynamics models, imitation learning from flight logs.
- Own system identification: extract vehicle dynamics from flight data, validate models, and close the sim-to-real gap.
- Support swarm coordination behaviours (formation control, consensus, task allocation) on the VYUHA/CHAKRA programmes.
- Participate in flight test campaigns: define test cards, analyse telemetry, iterate rapidly.
Required Qualifications
- B.Tech/M.Tech/PhD in Robotics, Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering with strong control theory foundations.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with control of real robotic/aerial systems (not simulation-only).
- Strong C++ and Python; experience with ROS/ROS 2.
- Solid understanding of rigid-body dynamics, state estimation (EKF/UKF), and trajectory optimization.
- Demonstrated experience in at least one of: MPC on embedded hardware, RL for robotics, or multi-vehicle coordination.
Preferred
- Experience with PX4/ArduPilot control stack internals.
- Publications or open-source contributions in planning/control.
- Familiarity with GNSS-denied navigation challenges.
