Job Title: IS Functional Analyst – COE – BAU, HRTP
Reporting to: IS Solution Architect – Integration COE – BAU, HRTP
Mission Statement
The IS Functional Analyst will support the newly established Integration COE – BAU for SHAPEiN Integrations, ERP consolidations, M&A, and payroll outsourcing. This role is part of ABB’s global HR transformation project, moving from a dispersed HCM landscape to a single Workday instance with best-of-breed add-ons. The position is critical to ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of integrations ahead of the global go-live in Q2 2025 and ongoing support thereafter.
Key Responsibilities
- Build
- Provide technical and business process expertise to support ongoing operations and projects.
- Perform tests, investigations, and analyses to resolve application issues.
- Monitor system performance, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop and analyse functional specifications, requirements documentation, and process flow diagrams.
- Ensure integration of multiple systems and reconcile needs across different teams.
- Deliver training and knowledge transfer to colleagues and new employees.
- Service Delivery
- Collaborate with IS Service Managers and Business Process Specialists to estimate effort for solution delivery and change requests.
- Apply business process knowledge to shape and deliver IS solutions.
- Manage installation, maintenance, and optimization of IS services.
- Facilitate configuration and change management processes.
- Plan, monitor, and oversee upgrades, releases, and hardware/software installations.
- Stakeholder Management
- Build and manage relationships with global HR teams, IS colleagues, and external partners.
- Align business needs with IS solutions and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Gather feedback and drive continuous improvement.
- Governance and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with ABB Corporate IS policies, regulations, and internal control requirements.
- Execute tasks according to defined RACIS specifications.
- Strategy
- Stay updated on ABB’s IS strategy and enterprise architecture changes.
- Monitor emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to HRIS and integration.
- People Leadership
- Coordinate developers to implement technology solutions.
- Provide guidance to temporary or project-based teams.
Key Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Business Management, HR, or a related field.
Experience:
- 10+ years in IT, with at least 8+ years of relevant HR/HCM systems experience.
- Strong expertise in HR/HCM functional configuration across industries.
- Proven experience in Payroll (multi-country), PA/OM processes, enterprise/personal structures, and HCM submodules.
- Hands-on experience with SAP ABAP (Workflows, Objects, RICEF, debugging, enhancements, forms, BAPIs, IDocs, OData, ALE, Webservices).
- Experience with integration technologies (XML, SOAMANAGER, OData, Web Services).
- Involvement in HR/HCM end-to-end processes from hiring to separation.
- Experience with testing, data migration, and drafting functional specifications.
- Knowledge of Workday integrations preferred.
Certifications:
- Required: SAP HCM or SAP ABAP.
- Preferred: Workday Integrations, AWS Cloud, Agile.
Languages:
- Fluent spoken and written English.
