This Position reports to: HR Delivery Manager
Compensation & Benefits Operations - Cluster Countries
- Lead and manage end-to-end C&B operations for assigned cluster countries, ensuring timely and accurate execution of all rewards transactions.
- Oversee salary benchmarking, pay review cycles, merit increase processing, and market data analysis for cluster geographies.
- Ensure country-specific compensation structures and benefit programmes are maintained and aligned with global ABB policy.
- Manage benefits enrolment, renewals, vendor coordination, and employee queries related to health, wellness, retirement, and other benefit plans.
- Partner with local HRBPs and country HR teams to address C&B escalations, exceptions, and complex cases.
- Maintain data integrity in HR systems (Workday / SAP) for all compensation and benefits records across cluster countries.
Annual Incentive Plan (AIP) Process Management
- Own and drive the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP) process end-to-end for Global: from target setting, mid-year review, year-end calculation to payout processing.
- Coordinate with P&R, HRBPs, and Business Leaders to ensure accurate AIP eligibility lists, payout calculations, and exception management.
- Manage AIP communication and employee-facing documentation in coordination with HR Front Office and COE.
- Ensure all AIP activities comply with ABB global guidelines, local labour laws, and audit requirements. Perform quality checks and reconciliation of AIP data before final payroll submission.
- Track AIP timelines, identify risks, and proactively elevate issues to the Hub Delivery Manager.
Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Lead a team of C&B specialists; manage work allocation, capacity planning, and business continuity. Conduct regular performance reviews, one-on-ones, and development conversations. Coach and mentor team members to build technical C&B capability and process expertise.
- Foster a high-performance, customer-centric, and collaborative team culture.
- Handle escalations with composure and resolve complex issues in a timely manner.
Compliance & Regulatory Adherence
- Ensure all C&B operations comply with local labour laws, statutory regulations, GDPR, and ABB internal controls across cluster countries.
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and evidence.
- Monitor regulatory changes impacting compensation and benefits in cluster geographies and implement required updates.
Stakeholder Engagement & Customer Experience
- Build strong partnerships with HRBPs, COEs, Finance, and Payroll teams across cluster countries.
- Proactively manage stakeholder communication on C&B matters, process timelines, and issue resolution.
- Analyse customer satisfaction feedback and drive continuous improvement in C&B service delivery.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all C&B-related escalations from cluster country stakeholders.
Operational Optimization & Innovation
- Continuously review C&B processes to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements.
- Leverage HR technology (Workday, SAP, ServiceNow) to automate and streamline C&B workflows.
- Support global HR initiatives such as total rewards redesign, policy harmonisation, and M&A activities.
- Explore AI-enabled tools and analytics to enhance C&B reporting, benchmarking, and decision support.
Qualification for the role
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources, Administration, or other relevant fields
- Must have 7 to 10 years of experience in the Compensation and Performance function Should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical abilities and strategic thinking.
- Excellent user knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel skills and other analytic tools and techniques is a must
- Must have team handling and delegation skills and the ability to create a learning atmosphere among team members
- Strong Customer service orientation and collaborative and conflict-resolving skills is an added advantage
