TVS Motor invites an IPR Engineer to lead drafting and prosecution of patent applications, focusing on domestic and international filings. The role emphasizes transforming innovations into valuable IP assets while protecting competitive advantages.

You will review technologies, prepare specifications, manage docketing in IPMS tools, and coordinate with internal teams and external counsel to ensure timely prosecution and compliance across jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech in Mechanical, Electronics or allied sciences; preferred Patent Agent.
• Draft patent applications for domestic jurisdictions and support prosecution for grant.
• Transform innovations into valuable IP assets through drafting, prosecution and portfolio development.

Responsabilités

• Study IDF qualifications for adherence and adequacy.
• Draft specifications meeting legal requirements.
• Verify specification against SOPs and filing processes.
• Maintain IPMS docketing and portfolio records.
• Prosecute to protect TVSM IP across India and foreign jurisdictions.
• Ensure compliance with IP regulations and prosecution timelines.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to maximize IP value.
• Prepare submissions and exhibits for patent hearings.

Role Description

Job Purpose:

• Review IDF's qualify them for adherence adequacy
• Draft patent applications for domestic jurisdictions support prosecution for grant
• Transform technological innovations into valuable intellectual property assets through high-quality patent drafting, prosecution, and portfolio development, thereby protecting the company's competitive advantages, maximizing innovation returns, and supporting long-term business growth

Responsibilities

• Study qualify IDF for adherence
• Conduct adequacy reviews
• Draft the specification meeting legal requirements
• Verify specification against SOPs and process for filing
• Maintain status in IPMS tools for inventions
• Prosecute to protect and strengthen TVSM Intellectual Property through effective management of patent and design Intellectual Property in India and foreign jurisdictions
• Ensure compliance with Intellectual Property regulations, statutory requirements and prosecution timelines across jurisdictions
• Facilitate effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders to maximise the value of TVSM Intellectual Property assets
• Verify FER response against SOPs ensure compliance
• Study hearing notice and assist in drafting submissions
• Prepare supporting exhibits for patent hearing and submissions
• Maintain structured documentation, docket management and portfolio records for effective lifecycle management of patent applications
