Job summary

TVS Motor Company is seeking an IP Licensing and Monetization professional to safeguard and maximize TVS IP value. Lead licensing, litigation, invalidation, and monetization initiatives across India and global markets. Drive IP audits, enforcement assessments, and portfolio enhancement.

You will support litigation, manage patent alerts, and drive digitalization of IP processes with SAP and Windchill, ensuring robust content from NPD documentation and manuals.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Engineering (Mechanical / Electronics / Automotive/ Industrial Production preferred).
• Post Graduate Qualification in IP Law preferred.
• 2–4 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Explore Licensing and Monetization Opportunities through IP Audits of both competitor and TVS-M IP.
• Assessment of commercial potential of both competitor and TVS-M IP and enforcement assessment
• Develop and implement SEP risk mitigation strategies to minimize SEP-related cost and legal exposure.
• Perform competitor patent invalidation and TVS-M patent strength/validity assessments to support IP risk mitigation, product commercialization, and portfolio enhancement.
• Internal patent monetization activities, including periodic categorization of TVS-M granted patents, maintenance of technical blueprints, maintenance assessment and identification of licensing/ commercialization opportunities.
• Establish and maintain a robust IP evidence repository through the review and approval of workshop/service manuals, owner's manuals, and parts catalogues for all products in NPD.
• Support litigation activities against competitors intellectual property rights across India and other TVS Motor global markets to safeguard business interests and mitigate potential business risks arising from competitor IP.
• Analysis and assessment of patent alert feedback received from cross-functional teams
• Managing IP process activities including DWM, ECM tracking, patent alert analysis, SOP management, knowledge sharing, case law reviews, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Digitalization and process transformation initiatives across IP and technical documentation, including digital workflows, database management, SAP and Windchill tracking of licensed parts, enterprise platform migration, and continuous process improvement activities.
