Job summary

Bajaj Auto Limited in India is seeking an experienced Patent Analyst to support technical searches, analyze prior art, and decide on FTO, infringement, patentability and invalidity. You will draft provisional and complete patent applications and coordinate with R&D teams to gather needed details.

You will engage with international filing, maintain IP portfolio, and work with patent attorneys to respond to examination reports.

Qualifications

• B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile engineering.
• Preferably Registered Patent Agent or LLB.
• Age 24-35 and 4-6 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patent searches and technical analysis of prior arts for FTO/infringement/patentability/invalidity with strong insights.
• Draft provisional and complete patent applications; formulate claims to protect inventions.
• Coordinate with R&D design teams to gather technical details for filings and innovations.
• Prosecute patent applications (India/International) and respond to examination objections; support IP enforcement and litigation.
• Review competitor patents and coordinate with stakeholders to identify risks and opportunities.
• Coordinate with patent attorneys for international filing and maintenance; manage IP portfolio.

Job Responsibilities:

Technical:

• Conducting patent Search & technical analysis of Prior arts to decide FTO/ Infringement/ Patentability/ Invalidity: Shall demonstrate Strong patent searching skills through requisite technical knowledge to provide useful technical insights/ opinions.
• Drafting of patent applications (provisional/ Complete), Formulation of claims to protect the inventions in an effective manner.
• Coordinating with R&D design Team members and internal stakeholders to stimulate patent filing & innovation and to collect necessary technical details and information.
• Prosecution of Patent Applications (India/ International): Preparing detail technical response for objections raised in examination reports. Support in IP enforcement, Opposition matters and Litigation cases.
• Search, review & analyse competitor patents and co-ordinate with internal stakeholders to identify potential risk & opportunities.
• Coordinating with various Patent attorneys for international filing & maintenance of the patent & design registrations.
• Managing IP Portfolio and ensuring IP rights are accurately maintained.
