Job summary

Sterlite Technologies (STL) seeks an Intellectual Property Lead to strengthen our cutting-edge IP portfolio. The role focuses on prosecution, management, and drafting across India, the US and Europe, with collaboration across teams.

You will draft filings, oversee portfolio deadlines, and support prior art searches. A 3–6 year IP background and strong technical foundation are required to succeed and grow with STL.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of IP experience
• Technical background in physics, science, math or related field

Responsibilities

• Patent and Trademark prosecution for India, US and Europe, preparing necessary documents and responding to official communications
• Manage the patent and trademark filing process, including accurate submissions and maintaining oversight of the patent portfolio compliances and deadlines
• Support prior art search projects including FTO, EoU, Infringement searches, Claim charts, and Invalidity assessments

In this role, you will have the chance to refine and apply your IP skills, including prosecution, management, and drafting, while contributing to impactful IP projects in close collaboration with the team.

Role & responsibilities

1. Patent and Trademark prosecution for India, US and Europe, preparing necessary documents and responding to official communications

Skills

Strong expertise in at least one of the following areas, with knowledge or familiarity with the remaining two:

• Patent prosecution, portfolio management, and patent filing
• Patent drafting
• Prior art search and assessment

Eagerness to learn and grow professionally

Results-oriented with a sense of ownership and accountability in task execution

Flexible approach, able to adapt quickly to shifting priorities and evolving

Qualifications
