Job summary

IENERGY NetZero® seeks an IoT Field Support Engineer for an on-site role based in Kochi. You will install, configure, and maintain field devices and gateways, perform diagnostics, and resolve hardware, software, and network issues at customer locations.

Role Description

The IOT - Field Support Engineer an on-site role based in Kochi, responsible for providing technical and customer-facing support for IENERGY’s IoT-driven solutions, including remote asset monitoring and tracking systems. The role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining field devices and gateways, performing diagnostic tests, and resolving hardware, software, and network issues at customer locations. The Field Support Engineer will collaborate with internal product, engineering, and customer success teams to ensure smooth deployment, reliable operation, and continuous improvement of IoT solutions. Daily activities include responding to support tickets, documenting incidents and resolutions, guiding users on best practices, and providing feedback from the field to enhance system performance and user experience.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills for IoT devices, networks, and related systems.
• Candidates should possess solid Customer Support and Customer Service abilities to handle inquiries, manage expectations, and ensure positive user experiences.
• Candidates should possess working knowledge of Operating Systems (such as Windows and Linux) for device configuration, monitoring, and basic administration.
• Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, or a related technical field are beneficial.
• Experience with IoT platforms, networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, sensors, gateways), and field deployments is highly advantageous.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in on-site environments are important.
• This is for ongoing project at BPCL Refinery in Kochi.
