Job summary

Innominds Software in Pune seeks an experienced Software Engineer to contribute to the IoT Cloud backend. You will design, develop, test, deploy, and monitor cloud‑native services, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable solutions.

Ideal candidates have 5–12 years of experience, strong AWS and JVM stack (Java/Kotlin/Python), and exposure to IoT data pipelines and microservices. You will work in an agile environment with emphasis on reliability, security, and code quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer, preferably in an enterprise or product engineering environment.
• Strong hands‑on experience in the design, development, deployment, and operation of cloud‑based applications and services.
• Solid experience with AWS, serverless application development, event‑driven architecture, APIs, and SQL / NoSQL databases.
• Good backend development experience with JVM‑based technologies such as Java/Kotlin and Python.
• Experience with IoT platforms, connected products, device data processing, backend integrations, or cloud data pipelines is highly desirable
• Understanding of software engineering practices including clean code, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, security, and operational reliability
• Practical understanding or experience with AI‑based development tools such as Kiro, Claude, or GitHub Copilot to improve engineering productivity and quality is preferred.
• Experience with microservice development using Java and Spring or Quarkus is an advantage
• Ability to work independently.while collaborating effectively with distributed agile teams
• Very good written and spoken English communication skills

• Implement scalable and secure solutions using AWS services, serverless patterns, event‑driven architecture, APIs, and data stores.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, architects, developers, QA engineers, DevOps, and integration teams to deliver agreed features and technical improvements.
• Write clean, maintainable, well‑tested code and actively participate in code reviews and technical design discussions.
• Support troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, performance optimization, monitoring, and operational improvements for cloud services.
• Use AI‑assisted development tools such as Kiro, Claude, or GitHub Copilot to accelerate requirement understanding, solution design, coding, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting where appropriate.
• Contribute to documentation, implementation notes, and knowledge transfer required for smooth handover and long‑term maintainability.

In this role, you will contribute as a hands‑on software engineer in the IoT Cloud area. You will design, build, test, deploy, monitor, and maintain cloud‑native backend services and integrations. The work involves collaborating with cross‑functional teams to understand requirements, implement robust technical solutions, ensure code quality, troubleshoot production issues, and continuously improve the reliability, scalability, security, and maintainability of IoT Cloud services.
