Job summary

Innominds Software in Pune seeks a Software Engineer with 5+ years of experience to contribute as a hands-on developer in IoT Cloud. You will design, build, test, deploy, and maintain cloud-native backend services, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability, security, and scalability.

The role requires strong AWS and JVM-based skills (Java/Kotlin, Python), experience with microservices, and a contractor-friendly, agile environment. Hybrid work mode is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or masters degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience in design, development, deployment, and operation of cloud-based applications and services.
• Solid experience with AWS, serverless application development, event-driven architecture, APIs, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Good backend development experience with JVM-based technologies such as Java/Kotlin and Python.
• Experience with IoT platforms, connected products, device data processing, backend integrations, or cloud data pipelines is highly desirable
• Understanding of software engineering practices including clean code, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, security, and operational reliability
• Experience with microservice development using Java and Spring or Quarkus is an advantage
• Ability to work independently as a contractor while collaborating effectively with distributed agile teams
• Very good written and spoken English communication skills

• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and participate in code reviews and design discussions.
• Support troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, performance optimization, monitoring, and operational improvements for cloud services.
• Use AI-assisted development tools such as Kiro, Claude, or GitHub Copilot to accelerate tasks where appropriate.
• Contribute to documentation, implementation notes, and knowledge transfer for long-term maintenance

You will design, build, test, deploy, monitor, and maintain cloud‑native backend services and integrations. The work involves collaborating with cross‑functional teams to understand requirements, implement robust technical solutions, ensure code quality, troubleshoot production issues, and continuously improve the reliability, scalability, security, and maintainability of IoT Cloud services.
