Job summary

Innominds is seeking a hands-on Software Engineer to contribute to the IoT Cloud platform in Pune. You will design, build, test, deploy, monitor, and maintain cloud-native services, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions using AWS and serverless patterns.

The role requires 4+ years of backend experience with JVM languages (Java/Kotlin) and Python, a solid understanding of APIs, data stores, and CI/CD, and comfort working in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field
• At least 4 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer
• Strong hands-on experience in designing, developing, deploying, and operating cloud-based applications and services
• Solid experience with AWS, serverless development, event-driven architectures, APIs, and SQL/NoSQL databases
• Good backend development experience with JVM-based technologies such as Java/Kotlin and Python
• Experience with IoT platforms, connected products, device data processing, or cloud data pipelines is highly desirable
• Understanding of clean code, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, security, and operational reliability
• Practical familiarity with AI-based development tools (e.g., Kiro, Claude, GitHub Copilot) to improve productivity
• Experience with microservice development using Java and Spring or Quarkus is an advantage
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with distributed agile teams
• Very good written and spoken English communication skills

In this role, you will contribute as a hands-on software engineer in the IoT Cloud area. You will design, build, test, deploy, monitor, and maintain cloud-native backend services and integrations. The work involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, implement robust technical solutions, ensure code quality, troubleshoot production issues, and continuously improve the reliability, scalability, security, and maintainability of IoT Cloud services.

What you need is
