Job summary

Biofuelcircle in Pune is seeking an experienced Investor Relations professional to partner with the CFO and founder in raising funds and managing investor expectations. You will be the primary face to investors across equity, debt, and lenders, supporting due diligence and communications.

You will build and maintain the investor MIS, financial projections, and budget cadences, while standardizing reports and dashboards across geographies to enable timely decisions and robust governance.

Qualifications

• 6-7 years of relevant experience in investor relations or corporate finance.
• Preferred CFA, MBA (Finance) or CA qualification (CFA + MBA preferred).

Responsibilities

• Investor MIS & Reporting Design and monthly/quarterly MIS pack delivery.
• Financial Modeling & Business Projections with integrated 3-statement model.
• Fundraise support — data room, due diligence responses, and lender communications.
• Investor relations: draft update emails, board materials, and AGM/deck content.

Job description

Key purpose of the role:

The company is constantly expanding across the clean energy sector in India, hence will continue to raise funds from various investor categories, through diverse instruments, eventually and hopefully leading to an IPO; the company may look at global expansion as well; hence the need for a person (and team) to constantly interact with existing investors and support the CFO and founder in running future investment rounds; this profile will be the most common face of the organization in front of external investors

What Key Tasks will be involved?

• Investor MIS & Reporting Design and own the monthly/quarterly Investor MIS pack — financial performance, KPIs, variance vs. budget, cash runway, unit economics
• Standardize reporting templates across equity investors, lenders, and internal management (board decks, lender covenant reports, quarterly updates)
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely turnaround of all investor-facing numbers before CFO/Business Finance Head review
• Financial Modeling & Business Projections Build and maintain the integrated 3-statement financial model (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) with scenario/sensitivity analysis
• Prepare and update business projections for fundraise decks, lender appraisals, and internal budgeting cycles
• Model unit economics across biomass aggregation, storage, and supply verticals; support pricing/margin analysis by geography or business line
• Fundraise Support — Equity Prepare and maintain data room documentation, financial due diligence responses, and information memoranda inputs Support CFO in responding to queries from VCs, PE funds, family offices, and sovereign funds during diligence Track fundraise process milestones, investor pipeline status, and follow-up action items
• Fundraise Support — Debt Prepare lender/NBFC/bank appraisal notes, projected cash flow statements, and covenant compliance trackers Support working capital and term loan documentation, drawdown schedules, and periodic lender reporting Monitor debt covenants and flag early warning signals to CFO
• Investor Relations & Communication Act as a key point of contact for existing investors on routine information requests (weekly/monthly cadence) Draft investor update emails, board meeting materials, and AGM/board deck content Maintain investor contact calendar, follow‑up trackers, and relationship management cadence
• Budgeting, Variance Analysis & Business Partnering Support annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes across business verticals and locations Conduct monthly variance analysis (actuals vs. budget vs. forecast) with commentary for management review Partner with operations/business heads across multiple locations to gather inputs and validate assumptions
• Systems, Data Integrity & Process Own and improve MIS systems/dashboards (Excel‑heavy, potentially BI tools) for real‑time reporting accuracy Standardize data collection processes from multi‑location teams (biomass banks, warehouses, rural partners) Drive automation of recurring reports to reduce manual turnaround time

Opportunity:

To eventually head the IR department of the company, and play an instrumental role in helping it raise funds and listing it on the stock exchanges in India

Ideal Candidate Profile:

6-7 years of relevant experience. Preferred qualifications include CFA, MBA (Finance) from a reputed top/mid‑tier institute, or CA, with CFA + MBA being the most preferred combination.
