Job Description: Head Investor Relations
Company: Insolation Energy Limited (INA)
Reporting to: Managing Director / Chief Financial Officer
Location: Mumbai
Employment Type: Full-Time, Senior Leadership

About Insolation Energy Limited

Insolation Energy Limited (NSE: INA) is a rapidly growing solar manufacturing and EPC company scaling its capacity and market presence in India's renewable energy sector. As the company enters a high-growth phase, it is looking to strengthen its capital markets positioning, deepen institutional investor participation, and build a differentiated equity story that reflects its growth trajectory and long-term value creation potential.

Role Summary

The Head of Investor Relations will be the primary architect and custodian of Insolation Energy's relationship with the investment community. This is a strategic, high-visibility role for a seasoned capital markets professional ideally someone who has worked as a fund manager, buy-side analyst, or institutional sales professional who understands how institutional money thinks, decides, and allocates.

The immediate mandate is to bring quality, long-only mutual funds onto the company's cap table, elevate the quality of the shareholder register (BENPOS), and craft a compelling, credible growth narrative that resonates with sophisticated investors. Over time, the role will evolve into building and managing the full IR function communications, disclosures, analyst coverage, and governance-linked investor engagement.

Key Responsibilities
1. Institutional Investor Acquisition (Immediate Priority)
  • Proactively identify, approach, and build relationships with mutual fund houses, insurance companies, sovereign/pension funds, AIFs, PMS providers, and marquee HNIs/family offices.
  • Drive a structured roadmap to onboard reputed mutual fund schemes onto the company's cap table.
  • Lead one-on-one and group investor meetings, roadshows, and non-deal roadshows (NDRs) with fund managers and research analysts.
  • Build and maintain a live pipeline of prospective institutional investors, tracking engagement stage, interest level, and conversion.
  • Improve the quality and depth of the shareholder base as reflected in quarterly BENPOS filings measured by number, quality, and size of institutional holders.
2. Equity Story & Investment Narrative
  • Develop and continuously refine a compelling investment thesis/equity story that articulates INA's growth trajectory, capacity expansion, order book strength, sectoral tailwinds (PLI, ALMM, domestic solar manufacturing push, etc.), and competitive positioning.
  • Translate business and operational milestones into investor-relevant narratives that connect with how fund managers evaluate growth, scalability, margins, and capital efficiency.
  • Work closely with management to identify and package "investable themes" capacity expansion, backward integration, order book visibility, capital allocation discipline, ESG/sustainability positioning into IR communication.
  • Create and maintain investor presentations, fact sheets, one-pagers, and FAQ documents that are sharp, data-backed, and benchmarked against sector peers.
3. Capital Markets Engagement & Relationship Management
  • Build and nurture strong personal relationships with fund managers, research heads, and analysts across leading mutual fund houses, insurance companies, and institutional broking desks.
  • Represent the company at investor conferences, sector conclaves, brokerage-hosted forums, and capital market events.
  • Coordinate and lead quarterly earnings calls, investor calls, and analyst briefings.
  • Manage relationships with sell-side analysts to encourage initiation and continuity of research coverage.
  • Act as the credible, trusted single point of contact for all institutional and HNI investor queries.
4. Strategic Communication & Positioning
  • Partner with the CFO, CEO, and Company Secretary to ensure consistent, transparent, and timely communication of financial and strategic milestones to the Street.
  • Draft/refine press releases, investor letters, quarterly result commentary, and management discussion content with an investor lens.
  • Monitor market perception, analyst sentiment, shareholding pattern trends, and peer positioning; provide regular feedback and course-correction inputs to leadership.
  • Track and benchmark stock performance, valuation multiples, and trading volumes against sector peers; provide insights to management.
5. Compliance, Governance & Reporting
  • Ensure all investor communication complies with SEBI (LODR) Regulations, insider trading norms, and other applicable regulatory frameworks.
  • Coordinate with Company Secretary/Compliance team on timely disclosures, corporate announcements, and structured digital database (SDD) filings related to price-sensitive information.
  • Maintain investor databases, engagement logs, and MIS/dashboards for management and board reporting.
  • Support due diligence processes for QIPs, preferential issues, or other fund-raise transactions as required.
6. Cap Table & Shareholder Base Management
  • Own and continuously monitor the shareholding pattern/BENPOS tracking entry/exit of institutional investors, HNIs, and identifying "quality" vs "churny" capital.
  • Work toward reducing dependency on retail/speculative flows by deepening long-term institutional ownership.
  • Build relationships with custodians, registrars, and depositories to track real-time shareholding movements.
Candidate Profile Must-Have Qualities (Core Ask)
  • Prior experience as a Fund Manager, Buy-Side Analyst, or Institutional Equity Sales professional at a mutual fund, insurance company, AIF, PMS, or broking institution this is a strong preference/requirement, not just IR-only background.
  • Established, active relationships with mutual fund houses, insurance companies, fund management companies, and HNI/family office networks ready to be leveraged from day one.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and pitch an investment narrative/theme someone who can think like a fund manager while communicating like an IR professional.
  • Strong track record of bringing new institutional investors onto a company's register, not just maintaining existing relationships.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills comfortable presenting to CIOs, fund managers, and analysts.
  • High energy, entrepreneurial, "hunter" mindset suited to a fast-growing, evolving company not a passive, compliance-only IR profile.
Additional Essential Qualities
  • Educational Background: MBA (Finance)/CA/CFA or equivalent from a reputed institute.
  • Experience: 1015+ years in capital markets, institutional equities, fund management, or investor relations, with at least 35 years in a client/investor-facing capital markets role.
  • Sector Understanding: Working knowledge of renewable energy/solar/manufacturing sectors is a strong plus; ability to quickly get up to speed on sector dynamics (PLI scheme, ALMM, module/cell manufacturing economics, order book-to-revenue conversion, etc.).
  • Financial Acumen: Strong grasp of financial statements, valuation frameworks, and ability to field detailed questions on margins, working capital, capex, and capital allocation.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with SEBI LODR, insider trading regulations, and listed company disclosure norms.
  • Network Strength: A well-regarded, credible presence in the capital markets ecosystem analysts, fund managers, and bankers should recognize and respect the individual.
  • Executive Presence: Ability to represent the company confidently in front of top management, board members, and marquee investors.
  • Integrity & Discretion: Given access to price-sensitive information, unquestionable integrity, confidentiality, and adherence to compliance protocols is essential.
  • Resilience & Ownership: Comfortable operating in a lean, fast-paced, high-growth environment; willing to be hands-on rather than relying on a large support team initially.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Ability to work closely with CFO, CS, business heads, and external advisors (investment bankers, PR agencies, registrars) to build a cohesive IR ecosystem.
