Job summary

Emergent in Bengaluru seeks an experienced Investor Relations leader to join our finance team. You’ll manage investor communications, prepare updates and board decks, support fundraising, and translate complex performance data into clear narratives for investors and founders.

This is a highly collaborative role requiring strong attention to detail, ownership, and the ability to work with senior leadership. You’ll contribute across the investor lifecycle, from updates and meetings to diligence,

Qualifications

• 7–10 years in investor relations or a similar role.
• Strong financial and business acumen.
• Ability to translate complex data into clear investor updates.
• Experience preparing board materials, investor updates, presentations, or analyses.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Comfort working with founders, investors, and senior leadership.

The Role:

We’re looking for someone to join our Investor Relations function and work closely with our founders, finance team, and investors. You’ll help manage investor communication and engagement, prepare high-quality investor and board materials, support fundraising processes, and ensure our investors have a clear and consistent view of Emergent’s business and growth. This is a highly collaborative role that requires strong communication, financial understanding, attention to detail, and the ability to work directly with senior leadership. You’ll be involved across the investor lifecycle from preparing investor updates and coordinating meetings to supporting fundraising, diligence, and ongoing investor engagement.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage communication and engagement with existing and prospective investors.
• Prepareinvestor updates, board decks, quarterly reports, and other investor-facing materials.
• Work with founders and leadership to gather business updates and translate them into clear investor communication.
• Coordinate investor meetings, calls, follow-ups, and ongoing communication.
• Support fundraising processes, including investor research, pitch materials, data rooms, and diligence.
• Track and report key business, financial, and operating metrics.
• Maintain investor CRM, communication records, and relevant investor documentation.
• Help coordinate cap table and investor-related information.
• Respond to investor requests and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate responses.
• Conduct ad-hoc business analysis and market research to support investor conversations.
• Help ensure all investor-facing information is accurate, consistent, timely, and high quality.

What We’re Looking For:

• 7-10 years of experience in investor relations or a similar role.
• Strong financial and business acumen.
• Ability to understand complex information and communicate it clearly and concisely.
• Comfortable working directly with founders, investors, and senior leadership.
• Experience preparing board materials, investor updates, presentations, or financial analyses.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• High ownership and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong judgment and discretion when handling confidential information.
• High ownership mindset with a bias for action

Nice to Have:

• Experience at ahigh-growth, venture-backed startup.
• Exposure to fundraising processes from Seed to Series C+.
• Background in investment banking, consulting, VC, or corporate strategy.
• Familiarity with SaaS, AI, or technology businesses.
• Understanding of startup metrics such as ARR, growth, retention, CAC, LTV, and unit economics.
