Job summary

Axis Capital Ltd. is seeking a professional in Mumbai with 3-5 years of experience in Investment Banking to handle capital market deal execution. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, financial modeling expertise, and experience working on PE/M&A transactions.

The position requires preparing pitch books, building client relationships, and overseeing transaction due diligence. A background in finance, preferably with an MBA, is essential.

Job description

• Preparation of necessary pitch books & presenting to clients, developing the positioning; building deal thesis
• Building relationships with key players and decision makers in the sector
• Tracking key developments in the Sector & Target Companies
• Interaction with Research / IBD Product / Sales teams to ensure smooth execution of transactions
• Responsible to overview the due diligence, analysis and documentation of live transactions
• Maintain databases and case studies of transactions in the relevant sector/product

Relevant Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

• Capital Market deal experience - from pitch till execution
• Sector: Consumers
• Ability to work on PE/M&A transactions
• Self-driven with ability to work long hours under tight deadlines with very high attention to detail
• Impeccable research, quantitative and analytical skills, especially in explaining market events
• Well versed with key Financial and Analytical skills, Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Familiarity with Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters
• Organize work, manage multiple projects, coordinate with different people, meet deadlines

Experience:

The candidate must have 3-5 years of relevant experience in IB - Coverage. Awareness about the Indian capital markets and strong experience in financial modeling, preparation of deal collaterals and pitchbook.

Qualification:

MBA in Finance, additional CA/CFA is a plus
