Job summary

Seabird Logisolutions is seeking a Parts Planning & Procurement engineer (M8) in Halol to manage procurement, inventory control, and vendor coordination for MG vehicle parts. You will ensure timely delivery to the Parts Distribution Centre and coordinate with the Purchase team for SA/PO releases for new and child parts.

The role requires a Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile/Production with 3–5 years of planning experience, proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical / Automobile / Production with 3–5 years of work experience.
• Prior experience in planning spare parts in automotive PDC – OEM.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of SAP.
• Knowledge of vehicle components and their failure/ consumption.

Responsibilities

• Procurement of Spare Parts, Accessories, Allied parts of MG Vehicles: responsible for procurement of components & various serviceable parts & to ensure timely delivery of material at Parts Distribution Centre (PDC).
• Release and set up of SA/PO for child parts for job work.
• Daily monitoring of stock levels and lead times; define ROP, min & max stock levels at warehouse.
• Coordinate stock management across regional PDCs and expedite supplier dispatches.
• Review VOR & back order parts daily and ensure fastest transport modes.

6 Roles,Responsibilities, Authorities, Task & duties of position

Procurement of Spare Parts, Accessories, Allied parts of MG Vehicles: Responsible for Procurement of Components & various serviceable parts & to ensure timely delivery of material at Parts Distribution Centre (PDC).

• Purchase Order Release
  • Coordination with Purchase team for Releasing SA/PO for Newly added Parts basis EWO /ECN
  • Release and Set up of SA/PO for Child Parts for Job Work
• Inventory management
  • Daily monitoring of Stock Levels (MOS) or (ITR), Supply lead time & feedback to vendor and take actions to fulfil the stock levels to avoid FFR Miss for all type of Dealer orders
  • Define ROP, Min & Max stock levels at warehouse basis dealer demand and release orders to supplier on Daily, Weekly Fortnightly, Monthly etc.
  • Identify excess stocking basis stock norms and take appropriate action to liquidate the.
  • Demand analysis on daily basis and take actions on change in demand patterns parts for stock fulfilment.
  • Co-ordinate & get the plant common parts to reduce input cost
• Regional PDCs Stock Management
  • Identify the Shortfall parts for stocks at Regional deports and take necessary action like STO from other plants, Expedite Supplier dispatches etc.
  • Analyse the Stocking & Destocking parts basis regional demand to optimize space at regional depots
• VOR & Back Order clearance
  • Complete review of VOR & Back Order parts on daily basis
  • Execute the VOR & BO requirements and other urgencies by close coordination with Suppliers, Warehouse and respective teams & get parts by fastest modes of transport.
• End Of Production Parts
  • Deciding Final Buy Order - Commonization of Parts - Alternate part proposal
• First Fill Check & Stock Optimisation
  • FFR Analysis of Dealer Order and preparation of report for management
• Vendor Bill Clearance
  • A Co-ordination with costing / Finance team for vendor payment
• Supplier Rating & Performance

Prepare supplier ratings & performance in terms of supplies & quality standards & share with each & every supplier to improve & to achieve good performances in future.
