Senior Manager – Parts Planning & Procurement
The Senior Manager – Parts Planning & Procurement will leadend-to-end parts supply for in-house refurbishment operations and aftersalesrequirements. The role involves, developing sourcing strategies formulti-brand, multi-model parts, building supplier partnerships, and driving theaftermarket business for DriveX-branded parts and supplies — with a strongfocus on operational excellence, cost optimization, and inventory planning. Businesshorizon covers around maintaining 20K SKUs and serving more than 100 MMVs. Thisposition works closely with the Production Manager and Warehouse Manager toalign parts planning and procurement with operational needs.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategiesfor multi-brand, multi-model automotive spare parts.
- Build and expand a strong supplierecosystem across OEM distributors, OES suppliers, and aftermarket vendors.
- Parts planning and order management tomeet production and aftersales parts requirements.
- Drive supplier performance reviews onquality, cost, delivery, fill-rate, and service metrics.
- Identify alternate sourcing opportunitiesto reduce dependency and optimize parts cost.
- Lead the parts development and sourcingactivities for DriveX branded parts with channel partner.
Parts Planning, Cataloguing & databasemanagement
- Build demand forecasting models based onsales trends, consumption, and refurbishment patterns to drive stockingpolicies — reorder levels, safety stock, EOQ, and replenishment.
- Own and maintain the parts masterdatabase across all brands, ensuring accurate part numbers, descriptions, upgradeas per OEM changes, and MMV mapping.
- Maintain OEM references, OES informationand cross-reference data for accurate part identification.
- Establish and manage pricing and discountstructure for all parts procured from dealers and suppliers.
- Ensure timely parts availability tosupport retail sales, workshops, refurbishment centres, service operationsand post sales requirements.
- Analyse parts consumption to identifyopportunities for assortment expansion.
- Support revenue growth by improvingavailability of fast-moving and critical spare parts. Creating a discountstructure for increase in parts sales revenue and profitability.
- Build a distribution network for theDriveX range of aftermarket parts.
Process Excellence, Analytics &Stakeholder Management
- Build scalable, repeatable procurementand supplier development processes to support business growth.
- Develop executive dashboards trackingprocurement, supplier performance, inventory health, and key operationalKPIs.
- Track procurement savings, inventoryproductivity, supplier scorecards, and service level performance.
- Collaborate closely with Operations,Service, Sales, Finance, Product, Technology, and Logistics teams.
- Drive cross-functional projects thatimprove customer experience and operational efficiency.
Requirements
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree inMechanical/Automobile Engineering (mandatory).
Experience
- 12–15 years of progressive experience inautomotive parts procurement, inventory planning, supply chain, oraftermarket operations.
- Minimum 4–5 years leading teams withinautomotive spare parts or aftermarket businesses.
- Strong exposure to multi-brand spareparts procurement and inventory management.
- Demonstrated experience in supplierdevelopment, strategic sourcing, and demand planning.
- Proven track record leadingtransformation, process improvement, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Experience with ERP platforms such as SAPand data-driven inventory planning tools.
