Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Civil Engineer to join their Transportation Infrastructure team in Bengaluru, India. You will be responsible for developing geometric designs for highway projects, preparing technical documentation, and ensuring compliance with standards. The ideal candidate will have a Civil Engineering Degree, a minimum of 3-5 years of highway design experience, and be proficient in relevant software like InRoads and AutoCAD. Strong communication and team collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in highway design, preferably including MTO projects.
  • Experience with traffic flow analysis and safety considerations in highway design.
  • Familiarity with environmental impact assessments for transportation projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop geometric design for highways, interchanges, arterial and collector roads.
  • Prepare alignments, profiles, cross-sections, grading, and drainage coordination.
  • Produce and review design drawings, reports, and quantity take-offs.
  • Support preparation of contract documents, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Ensure compliance with MTO standards, TAC guidelines, and municipal requirements.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including structures, traffic, utilities, and environmental.
  • Participate in design reviews, client meetings, and technical discussions.
  • Provide input during construction support as required.

Job Description

As a key member of the Transportation Infrastructure team, you will contribute to the delivery of provincial and municipal roadway projects. You will be responsible for developing geometric design packages and supporting contract documentation under the direction of a Senior Engineer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop geometric design for highways, interchanges, arterial and collector roads
