Job Description

• Prepares engineering drawings of plans, profiles, typical sections, cross sections, and other typical details based on MTO's Standard drawings.
• Should be able to work under minimal supervision and be able to organize and perform tasks necessary to complete assigned projects successfully.
• Set up project reference base files, set up sheets per standards and manage drawings via sheet set manager.
• Adhere to client-specific quality control process (CAD Standards).
• Experience of working collaboratively in a team environment with other CAD Technicians and Engineers.
• Be competent to develop and understand basic alignments in Civil 3D, prepare cross sections and/or extract quantities.
• 3D design and corridor modelling in Civil 3D is required.
• Knowledge of working in Collaborative work Environments such as SharePoint and ProjectWise will be an asset.
• Experience of managing junior CAD technicians and developing team skills with focus on improving quality and efficiency will be an asset.
