Role Description

The Interior Designing Trainer will deliver classroom and studio-based instruction in interior design concepts, helping learners build practical and theoretical skills. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and conducting lessons, guiding students through space planning, material selection, construction drawings, and FF&E applications, and supervising project work and design presentations. The trainer will evaluate student performance, provide constructive feedback, and ensure that training aligns with industry standards and institutional guidelines. The role also involves collaborating with the academic team to update curricula and participate in workshops or seminars that enhance learner exposure. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kochi.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in Interior Design and FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) for residential and/or commercial spaces.


• Strong skills in Space Planning and Architecture fundamentals relevant to interior design education.


• Proficiency in preparing and reviewing Construction Drawings and related technical documentation.


• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related field; advanced certifications are an advantage.


• Prior experience as a trainer, instructor, or mentor in design or technical education is preferred.


• Ability to use design software (such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar tools) to demonstrate concepts and guide student projects.


• Effective communication, presentation, and classroom management skills, with a learner-focused and inclusive teaching approach.


• Capacity to collaborate with colleagues, adapt to institutional procedures, and support industry-oriented training and placement initiatives.
