Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong skills in space planning and interior design for residential/commercial spaces.
• Solid architecture and construction drawings skills: plans, sections, elevations, details.
• FF&E knowledge to select and coordinate finishes within budget.
• Degree or diploma in Architecture, Interior Design, Civil Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in design/drafting software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit or similar tools.
• Attention to detail and ability to read/interpret technical drawings; familiarity with site execution.

Responsibilities

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai for an Interior Designer / Draughtsperson / Site Engineer. The role involves working on architectural and interior design projects from concept through detailed drawings, including space planning, material selection, and coordination of FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment). Responsibilities include preparing construction and working drawings, assisting with site measurements, overseeing civil and interior works, and coordinating with in-house teams and contractors to ensure design intent is executed accurately. The position also includes client interaction to understand requirements, prepare design presentations, and support project management with timelines, quality checks, and documentation. Team members are expected to collaborate closely within the studio, participate in design reviews, and contribute creative and technical input to residential and commercial projects.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Space Planning and Interior Design to develop functional, aesthetic layouts for residential and commercial spaces.
• Candidates should possess solid Architecture and Construction Drawings skills to produce accurate plans, sections, elevations, and detailed working drawings.
• Candidates should possess FF&E knowledge to select and coordinate furniture, fixtures, finishes, and materials aligned with design and budget requirements.
• Relevant degree or diploma in Architecture, Interior Design, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in design and drafting software (such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar tools).
• Strong attention to detail, ability to read and interpret technical drawings, and familiarity with site execution processes.
• Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, consultants, and site teams.
• Previous experience in residential or commercial design and on-site coordination will be an advantage.
