Qualifications

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Interior Designer role based in Chennai. The Interior Designer will collaborate with architects and project teams to develop functional and aesthetic design concepts for residential, commercial, or mixed-use spaces. Daily activities include space planning, selecting materials and finishes, preparing presentations, and coordinating FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) choices that align with client requirements and budget. The role involves producing and reviewing construction drawings, working closely with contractors and vendors, and overseeing design implementation to ensure quality and design intent are maintained. The Interior Designer will also participate in client meetings, gather requirements, present design options, and incorporate feedback to refine solutions.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Interior Design and Architecture skills, with the ability to translate client needs into cohesive design concepts.
• Candidates should possess Space Planning skills to optimize layouts for functionality, flow, and user experience.
• Candidates should possess Construction Drawings skills to create and interpret detailed plans, elevations, and specifications used during execution.
• Candidates should possess FF&E skills, including selection of furniture, fixtures, materials, and finishes that align with design and budget.
• Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar) and familiarity with visualization tools is beneficial.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and client-facing skills, with the ability to present and justify design ideas clearly.
• Relevant degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, along with prior experience in interior projects, is preferred.
• Attention to detail, time management, and the ability to manage multiple projects on-site in Chennai.
