Job summary

Jaipur Rugs is seeking a showroom-based designer and sales professional to engage walk-in customers, understand design and furnishing needs, and recommend rugs and décor that fit spaces. You will prepare mood boards and product suggestions, support order processing, and help achieve sales targets with architects and interior designers.

The role requires strong design sense, space planning expertise, and proficiency with AutoCAD/SketchUp/Photoshop among other tools.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Attend walk-in customers and understand their design and furnishing requirements.
• Provide product recommendations based on customer preferences, space planning, and interior aesthetics.
• Assist customers in selecting rugs, home décor, furniture, and related products.
• Prepare design presentations, mood boards, and product suggestions when required.
• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, architects, and interior designers.
• Conduct follow-ups with prospective customers and convert inquiries into sales.
• Maintain showroom displays and ensure products are presented attractively.
• Coordinate with internal teams for order processing, delivery, and customer support.
• Stay updated on interior design trends, materials, colors, and market development.
• Handle customer queries and provide excellent after-sales support.

The founder, Mr. Nand Kishore Chaudhary created a unique business model, which provides livelihood to the artisans at their doorstep. This changed the standard practice of involving middlemen to work with artisanal communities. The company currently has a network of over 40,000 artisans spread across 600 rural Indian villages in five states of India. Key Responsibilities
