Job summary

AJ Design Studio in Mysuru is seeking an on-site, full-time Interior Designer to shape residential and commercial spaces. You will develop design concepts, space plans, mood boards, and select materials, finishes, furniture, and fixtures while coordinating with vendors and craftsmen.

You will conduct site visits, supervise installations, prepare drawings and presentations, maintain design standards, and pursue sustainable, innovative design solutions that reflect the studio's creative vision.

Qualifications

• Strong interior design skills including space planning, concept development, and materials/finishes selection.
• Proficiency with design/visualization tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Photoshop or similar software.
• Experience in project coordination: vendor management, site supervision, and schedule/budget awareness.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills with ability to present ideas clearly and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Solid understanding of sustainable design principles and local building practices.

Role Description

The Interior Designer will work on-site in Mysore in a full-time capacity, collaborating with clients and internal teams to design residential and commercial spaces. The role involves coordinating with vendors, contractors, and craftsmen to ensure design intent is accurately executed, as well as conducting site visits and supervising installation and styling. The Interior Designer will also prepare project documentation, maintain design standards, and contribute to sustainable and innovative design solutions that align with AJ Design Studio’s creative vision.
