Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Create CAD geometry and drawings for Climate Control System projects.

• Ensure data maturity and alignment with program timelines.
• Provide CAD support and lead design progress with project milestones.
• Check clearance with interface parts and manufacturing feasibility.
• Escalate unresolved issues to Lead Engineer/Team Lead.
• Ensure all project deliverables are met on time.

Scope of Role

The Engineer is responsible for generating CATIA V5/V6 Body Engineering CAD concepts/ solutions for projects of Climate Control System.

Area of Responsibility:

• This position is responsible for creation of CAD geometry and Drawings in support of various Climate Control System
• Design and development of Cabin Cooling System and its Component, AC Lines & Hoses, Cooling Circuit layout
• Ensure data is up to date and reflects the required levels of maturity at any given point in time
• Provide CAD support, leading and progressing the design in line with the program timescales and deliverables.
• Ability to check and manage clearance to interface parts.
• Ensure manufacturing feasibility of parts.
• Ensuring issues that cannot be resolved are escalated to Lead Engineer/Team Lead
• Ensuring that the all-project deliverables are met on time.
• Ensure all packaging feasibility for Component.
• Extensive experience in using CATIA V5/V6
• Successful history of delivery within the automotive sector.
• Engineering knowledge of defined component/system design, function, performance, production & manufacturing requirements.
• Excellent communications skills demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels.
• Ability to interact with cross functional teams like CAE/VI Lead teams, interpret CAE results and suggest corrective actions.
• Good understanding on GD&T and tolerance stack up analysis.
• Extensive experience in using CATIA V5 & V6. Catia V6 is most preferred.
• Good all-around design skills which must include experience of working on at least one of Cooling Systems project.
• In depth knowledge of cooling system and component design requirement for AC lines, HVAC, Condenser, Chiller, Mounts and brackets.
• Successful history of delivery within the automotive sector.
• Engineering knowledge of defined component(s) / system(s) design, function, performance, production & manufacturing requirements.
• Working with parametric design and methodology.
