Job summary

Balaji Railroad Systems Pvt Ltd in Chennai seeks a technically competent System Integration Engineer to oversee the integration of Rolling Stock with Signaling and Train Control Systems, and with Track, PSD, Depot M&P, and Overhead Power Supply interfaces.

The ideal candidate has an engineering background, strong coordination skills, and proven experience in design and implementation phases of large metro rail projects.

Qualifications

• Review and understand system integration design processes with minimal guidance.
• Engage with contractor and client during design workshops to resolve interfaces.
• Handle Railway subsystem interfaces across rolling stock, signaling, track, PSD, depot M&P and power supply.
• Manage integration tests at factory and site with stakeholders.
• Interpret tender obligations and ensure contractor compliance.
• Apply relevant engineering standards and work autonomously to produce reports.

• Engage with Contractor and Client during design/interface workshops to resolve issues.
• Coordinate complex Rolling Stock – Signaling & Train Control interfaces with other subsystems.

• Interpret Tender Specifications and manage Contractor’s compliance.
• Identify and apply engineering standards and prepare high quality reports.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Technically competent to review and understand the Contractor’s System Integration design processes and technical design submissions (with minimal guidance)
• Able to engage effectively with Contractor and Client during design / interface workshops to achieve effect resolution
• Competent in handling the complex Rolling Stock – Signaling & Train Control Interfaces along with interfaces with track, PSD, Depot M&P, Overhead Power Supply, Civil etc.
• Demonstrable competence in managing the integration tests at RS factory and at site, coordination with relevant stakeholders including Employer.
• Competent to interpret and understand the contractual obligations defined in the Tender Specification and manage the Contractor’s compliance
• Demonstrable ability to identify, understand and apply relevant Engineering Standards
• Able to work under own initiative, resolve conflict and produce high quality reports and presentations

Qualifications

• BTech Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree (MTech or MSc preferred)
