Job summary

Jobtailor in Chennai seeks an experienced Life and Annuities QA tester to lead functional and automation testing across the full STLC. You will design test strategy, write test scripts, execute tests, and track defects to closure in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in life insurance and annuities testing, strong knowledge of SCRUM, and experience with COTS platforms and AI testing.

Qualifications

15+ years of experience in full-time Life and Annuities functional testing.
PMP or PRINCE II certifications are advantageous.
Proficiency in Agile SCRUM methodologies.
Experience with Life and Annuities LOBs and related products.
End-to-end domain knowledge from Illustration to claims and downstream apps.
Experience with ETL / Conversion / Rating.
Automation and AI testing experience.
Ability to write and execute functional test cases and perform reviews.

Responsibilities

Prepare test strategy, test plan, test scenario, test scripts based on project requirements.
Execute functional and regression test cases.
Report defects in tracking tool and ensure closure through STLC.
Involve in review meetings and walkthrough meetings.
Maintain Bug Reports and delivery Note details.
Attend status calls to report testing progress.

Job description

Responsible for maintaining the Bug Reports and delivery Note details.

Requirements

15+ years of experience in full time Life and Annuities functional testing role
PMP / PRINCE II certifications will be an added advantage
Deft knowledge on Agile SCRUM Methodology
Should have working experience in various Annuities LOB such as Index-linked annuities, fixed and variable annuities, fixed indexed annuities, income annuities
Should have working experience in various Life LOB's such as Term Life, permanent Life including universal life, indexed universal life, whole life, and variable universal life
Should have expertise working in various Life and Annuities industry COTS technology platforms
Should have domain expertise working in Life and Annuities End-to-End starting from Illustration, New Business, policy and claims administration and downstream applications
Experience in ETL / Conversion / Rating
Candidates must have experience in Automation and/or AI testing.
Responsible for writing and executing the Test Cases for Functional Testing.
Involved in Peer-Review of the test cases, Sanity Testing, Smoke Testing, Regression Testing, System Testing and User Acceptance Testing.
Attend status calls as needed to report on testing progress
