Job summary

Luthra Group Company is seeking a skilled Instrumentation technician for onsite maintenance and field operations at its Surat facility. The role focuses on maintaining water analyzers, flow meters, and related instrumentation to ensure reliable plant performance.

The ideal candidate should have ITI (Instrumentation) or Diploma in Instrumentation and be willing to work rotating shifts to support 24/7 operations.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on experience with water analyzers and flow meters.
• Knowledge of P&IDs and electrical wiring diagrams is required.
• Experience with pneumatic actuators and solenoid valves is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Analyzer maintenance: Clean, calibrate, and maintain water quality analyzers (pH, TDS, COD, BOD, TSS, Residual Chlorine).
• Flow and level monitoring: Ensure proper operation of flow meters, ultrasonic level transmitters, and float switches.
• Chemical dosing systems: Maintain and troubleshoot dosing pumps and automated chemical feeds.
• Field operations: Inspect field instruments, including pressure gauges and motorized valve actuators.
• PLC & SCADA support: Help troubleshoot sensor communication errors with the SCADA system for real-time logging.
• Preventive maintenance: Execute PM schedules to prevent sensor corrosion and scaling.

Job description

Role & responsibilities :

• Analyzer Maintenance: Routine cleaning, calibration, and maintenance of online water quality analyzers (pH, TDS, COD, BOD, TSS, and Residual Chlorine).
• Flow & Level Monitoring: Ensure accurate functioning of Electromagnetic Flow Meters, Ultrasonic Level Transmitters, and Float Switches across various treatment tanks.
• Chemical Dosing Systems: Maintain and troubleshoot instrumentation related to dosing pumps and automated chemical feed systems.
• Field Operations: Conduct daily inspections of field instruments, including pressure gauges and motorized actuators on valves.
• PLC & SCADA Support: Assist in troubleshooting signal errors between field sensors and the central SCADA system to ensure real-time data logging.
• Preventive Maintenance: Execute PM schedules to prevent corrosion or scaling of sensors caused by effluent characteristics.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: ITI (Instrumentation) or Diploma in Instrumentation.
• Technical Skills:
  • Practical experience with Water Analyzers and Flow Meters is highly preferred.
  • Basic understanding of P&IDs and electrical wiring diagrams.
  • Experience with pneumatic actuators and solenoid valves.
• Sector Experience: 2+ years of experience in an ETP, STP, or CETP environment is a significant advantage.
• Shift Work: Must be willing to work in rotational shifts to support 24/7 plant operations.
