Job summary

Softcon seeks an Instrumentation Engineer for Pune to lead project planning and documentation for instrumentation systems. The role requires coordinating with design, QA, and site teams to ensure proper integration of instrument data, loop diagrams, and installation activities.

The candidate will review P&ID drawings, prepare instrument documentation, and support FAT and site commissioning. This is a full-time, on-site Pune position with exposure to electrical/instrumentation integration across

Qualifications

• BE in Instrumentation or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years of instrumentation project experience.
• Experience in reviewing P&ID and engineering drawings.
• Exposure to FAT and site commissioning.
• Ability to prepare instrumentation documentation.
• Coordinate QA documentation with QA department.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering drawings in coordination with design.
• Review P&ID and engineering drawings.
• Coordinate and review internal panel testing.
• Conduct FAT.
• Coordinate on-site installation and commissioning.
• Provide commissioning support to project/applications engineers.
• Assist in project erection and commissioning on site (Electrical / Instrumentation).
• Prepare instrumentation index, hookup drawings, data sheets, loop diagrams, JB GA and wiring drawings.
• Prepare internal test reports and QA reviews.

Project Planning & preparation of engineering documentation with subordinates:

• Preparation of engineering drawing in co-ordination with Design


• Review of P&ID drawings, Engineering drawing


• Coordination & review of complete internal panel testing


• Conducting FAT


• Co-ordination of on Site Installation & Commissioning


• Commissioning support to project engineer / application engineer


• Project erection and commissioning on site (Electrical / Instrumentation)


• Preparation & review of engineering documentation


• Technical support to site commissioning team


• Preparation of Instrumentation index


• Preparation of Instrument Hookup Drawing


• Preparation of Instrument Data sheet
