Job summary

Omnivore in India is seeking a role focused on standardizing rooftop solar installation practices, training installers, and ensuring quality through audits. The position emphasizes developing SOPs, checklists, and certification processes to align with regulatory requirements.

You will lead knowledge-sharing with installation teams, enforce permits for field work, and maintain records of certifications to support safe, compliant solar deployments.

Job description

1. Installation Standards & Best Practices

• Build and document standard installation practices for rooftop solar systems
• Define SOPs, checklists, and quality benchmarks
• Ensure standards are aligned with MNRE / DISCOM requirements

2. Installer Training & Capability Building

• Train internal and external installers
• Conduct refresher training sessions for existing installers
• Act as a knowledge resource for installation teams

3. Installation Audit & Quality Control

• Conduct regular audits of installations
• Identify gaps, deviations, and quality issues
• Share corrective actions with installation partners
• Track repeat issues and drive continuous improvement

4. Installer Certification & Permit Management

• Certify installers and trainers
• Issue site permits for installations
• Ensure that only certified installers with valid permits are allowed to execute installations
• Maintain installer certification and permit records
