Job summary

IIVSIPL in India seeks an Inspection Technician to provide inspection services at vendor shops and project sites. You will perform inspection and verification tasks as defined in the scope of work and interpret relevant codes and standards.

Study item specifications, check raw materials and bought-out items, review Manufacturer’s Test Certificates, and ensure methodologies meet IS codes. You will prepare daily and weekly inspection reports and advise on non-conformities.

Qualifications

  • Degree / Diploma in relevant science or engineering discipline.
  • For Degree, Min 4 years of Oil & gas in quality department or any other industry QA/QC with 1 years relevant experience.
  • For Diploma, Min 5 years of Oil & gas in quality department or any other industry QA/QC with 2 years relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Inspection & Verification tasks as defined in the scope of work.
  • Shall be able to understand and interpret the relevant codes and standard applicable for inspection.
  • Study the codes & specifications of Items of work and implementing QA activities as per Field Quality Plan at site.
  • Checking quality of Raw material at Approved source and site as per the decided Frequency.
  • Acceptance of Manufacturer’s Test Certificate of bought-out items and material like Cement, Reinforcement, Grouting cement, admixture and construction chemicals.
  • Checking of Methodology Statement with respect to specifications and different IS codes.
  • Inspection / Surveillance for day to day activities pertaining to filed quality in consultation with Site-in-charge and Client / Consultants.
  • Follow the guidelines as per TPIA manual for shop inspection / site inspection.
  • Take the guidance of Sr. Surveyor / Project Manager / Operations Manager having any doubts / any observation / deviations.
  • Sample draw & collection for testing and witness at site / NABL lab with calibrated testing equipment’s.
  • Reviewing the testing equipment’s calibration certification for its validity before any testing.
  • To ensure that proper methodology and instructions are followed Quality Norms in execution of various activities.
  • Prepare and issue the daily inspection visit report / weekly filed inspection report for any pending issues and non conformity and inspection reports.
  • Develop professional relationship with customers, obtain periodic feedback and communicate to reporting manager.
  • Update, knowledge, skill etc for competent delivery of services to the Customer.
  • Promote team work and share useful information beneficial to all. Maintain harmonious relationship with colleagues, team members at work place and in office.
  • Bring to the notice of Operation Manager in-case of any situation that can hamper IIVSIPL service and its brand image.
  • Follow safety norms established at each locations assigned. PPE Kit must be worn while at inspection.
  • Knowledge of the IIVSIPL IMS Manual and ISO 17020: 2012 Type A requirements
