Job summary

Safran Hyderabad is seeking an experienced NDT Inspector to perform UT Straight/Angle, PAUT, FPI and MPI inspections according to approved procedures and standards. You will calibrate equipment, interpret data, and prepare inspection reports while ensuring EN4179/NAS 410 compliance.

Candidates should have 4–8 years of NDT experience, strong knowledge of aerospace standards, and the ability to read technical drawings and acceptance criteria. The role requires site work in Hyderabad, India.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of experience in NDT inspections.
• Proficient in UT Straight Beam and Angle Beam flaw detection.
• Knowledge of PAUT scanning, data acquisition and interpretation.
• Experience with FPI and MPI inspection processes and defect evaluation.
• Familiarity with EN4179, NAS 410, ASTM, ASME and customer specs.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and procedures.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and traceability.

Responsibilities

• Perform NDT inspections using UT Straight Probe, UT Angle Probe, PAUT, FPI and MPI as per approved procedures.
• Set up, calibrate and operate NDT equipment.
• Evaluate results, identify defects and non-conformities.
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain traceability docs.
• Review drawings, specs and acceptance criteria to ensure compliance.

Mandatory : EN4179, NAS 410 & UT Experience

Candidate skills & requirements :

• Experience 4 to 8 Yrs

• Knowledge of PAUT scanning, data acquisition, and interpretation.
• Experience with FPI and MPI inspection processes and defect evaluation.
• Familiarity with aerospace and industrial standards, including EN4179, NAS 410, ASTM, ASME, and customer specifications.

• Good understanding of material properties, and defect characterization.
